Gin and tonic for me. Days like today is reason not to bring back the stock ticker on AFB back. Next week? I know the monthlies aren't in play to sink us, so we have that going for us.

Weird crap happens. Short-term traders and option holders must always be aware. Hope everyone here weathered that blip OK.
Modest up week. It could be worse overall. And yeah, the last-minute drop will probably remain a "mystery", irritating as that is.

I need to chime in. As long as you all watched this stock, you know better then complain about today's move. We have experienced similar moves on triple witching in the past. I saw it coming and started selling yesterday and this morning. Was waiting for the dump all day.. Don't know where we are going except we will be very happy come Christmas.
And when you make apps and think you are a know it all, you quickly piss off the people who can help you. We are making billions because we are in control. Going to Android is a good move. We don't need those attitudes in the Apple Store.
Can't wait for April 24. It will shock WS.

I don't know the specifics of this conflict but it appears Apple should more clearly explain their decision(s). Enterprise could be another large area of growth.

Some where I remember hearing "with great power comes great responsibility". Apple has the power. I don't know the specifics of this conflict but it appears Apple should more clearly explain their decision(s). Enterprise could be another large area of growth. I won't bore everyone with the details, but we are on the home stretch of developing an Apple approved accessory. It too is targeted at Enterprise. When we were removed from the store, it also mean't that we would be unable to sell this too, because it is linked to our app. Which made this situation and the lack of transparency around it, all the more scary. Apple's process around getting an accessory approved is even tougher than an app because they won't tell you what the steps are. These are not technical compliance issues, but the process steps involved. It is impossible to understand the process and timelines involved because they refuse to tell you the details of the next step until you complete the previous one. Along the way they blocked us several times for reasons that were impossible to know going in. And they think nothing of forcing you to throw away all the prior investment. On hardware, this is particularly nasty because you are spending tooling, regulatory approval fees, and a bunch of other money before you are allowed to understand what you are up against. If I was to advise other companies now, I would counsel them to build a plan and strategy that is not dependent on Apple behaving like a fair partner, but rather a potential adversary that could put you out of business overnight, and not think twice about it. I am feeling particularly foolish now, because I let my enthusiasm for Apple lead our company to the brink, with an Apple-centric approach because I had faith in them being a trustworthy partner. I will never make that mistake again, and I will tell anyone who listens, to not make the same mistake we did. And for us, this means we will now invest in making this accessory Android ready. Because the next time they do this, it will mean that customers who buy this product from us, would find their investment wasted if our app is ever thrown off the store. We are already in that situation with prior software sales. We have customers who bought our overall solution because of iOS device support. We could have been looking at the loss of existing customers too as a result of their actions. None of these risks are there on Android. But hey, if we abandon Apple and go all Android it is a good thing right, since attitudes like ours pollute the App Store. At least that ass-clownish commentary brought a lighter side to this. If Apple destroys the odd company here and there now, it won't matter to shareholders or what our returns are. They have so much market power now, that they can and will do anything they want. But when you are on the receiving end, it feels like a betrayal. End of rant.

I sat in a meeting many, many years ago where a presenter gave his definition of "partner" which I've been trying to remember ever since but alas. Suffice to say that it summed up my feelings about it ever since and made it clear that I'd much rather be a customer or a supplier. Apple...,you...,me will always behave in a manner that is mostly consistent with our own self interest but to say they'll do something without thinking twice doesn't reflect what I believe I know of them. They appear to think longer and in more depth than any other company I've come across. I freely admit that I wouldn't invest much in an endeavor that I believed would end up in their crosshairs sooner or later. The Android world looks to me to be the biggest risk of all so it surprises me that you would view it as safe haven with more clearly understood risks. I'd be very interested to hear why that might be so. Bill

The Android world looks to me to be the biggest risk of all so it surprises me that you would view it as safe haven with more clearly understood risks. I'd be very interested to hear why that might be so. Bill Hi Bill, The biggest reason is that we don't have a single third party who can make a decison that means we can no longer deliver our software (and soon hardware) to our customers. In Android, there are many ways to put your software in the hands of your customers. If Apple changes a rule or chooses to reinterpret existing rules, they can block our customers from ever getting updates or bug fixes. And it blocks the sale to new customers entirely. Android has a lot of problems, but that company-killing risk is not one of those risks. I am not talking about leaving ios entirely. If we have equivalent Android support, and Apple decides to remove us from the store, then we still have a big problem. But not one that is guaranteed fatal. I agree that Apple really thinks stuff out. It is why I am a long term buy and hold investor. But remember, that what we are facing is a tiny execution detail in their world. My overall point is that we never once disagreed with their reinterpretation of their rules. We had a fix to the problem in the App Store within a couple of days, even though internally we vehemently thought that they misunderstood what we are doing. They KNEW we were cooperating and bending over backwards to comply, and yet they still took this action against us. Something is wrong with their thinking when they take these kind of actions. Finally, the action they took is not in their overall interest, because we have companies who are making mission critical decisons with our software and their hardware. These are the world's largest companies. IF Apple kills a solution they are depending on, then it reflects badly on both us and them.

Me, I'd write to Tim Cook. After all, he followed all of my advice over a year ago (wink, wink): stock split, bigger iPhones, stock repurchase, more transparency (friendlier face toward WS).
Apple is now a giant and pockets of dysfunction are part of the baggage that comes with size.
At the risk of car talk, squeaky wheels get the grease.

So, there are two Apple watch sizes. There are three styles. There are a lot of bands.
All bands of one watch size fit that watch size but not the other.
How many combinations of Apple watches and bands could be tried on on April 10 if you had the store to yourself?

Don't get me wrong - I love sports - I love March Madness but dare I say I'm just not in the mood tonight honey .... so what did I do last night instead? I was a wee bit wreckless - although I'd like to think of it as helping out all of you shareholders as well. Went out with my son and bought him his birthday gift - a new MacBook Pro - 15 inch (all the bells and whistles) and then we fell in love with the 27" iMac 5K and bought that too! It's being built and should arrive on April Fool's Day (should I be worried?)...it is a thing of beauty...truly insane...it transports you...seriously. Can't wait till it arrives! That's my version of March MADNESS!

The resolution makes it so much easier on the eyes over an eight hour day. It's a different experience than the retina MacBook Pro RD, which I also have (now 14 months old).
