Does anyone here know how to add an option ticker to the iOS stock widget? I had it for a while, but then sold those options.
For example, I want to add AAPL170120C0013000 (Jan 20, 2017 Call 130) to the widget.
Thanks

What is the iOS stock widget?? My guess is that he is referring to the default Stocks app in iOS, which determines what stock prices are shown in the widget on the lock screen.

Don't get me wrong - I love sports - I love March Madness but dare I say I'm just not in the mood tonight honey .... so what did I do last night instead? I was a wee bit wreckless - although I'd like to think of it as helping out all of you shareholders as well. Went out with my son and bought him his birthday gift - a new MacBook Pro - 15 inch (all the bells and whistles) and then we fell in love with the 27" iMac 5K and bought that too! It's being built and should arrive on April Fool's Day (should I be worried?)...it is a thing of beauty...truly insane...it transports you...seriously. Can't wait till it arrives! That's my version of March MADNESS! Phoebes - I've had my 5k retina for 2 weeks. It is fantastic. A pure joy to use.

For example, I want to add AAPL170120C0013000 (Jan 20, 2017 Call 130) to the widget. Thanks Go to yahoo.com. click on finance. click on AAPL. click on options. click on Jan 2017. click on AAPL Jan 2017 130.000 call. This page will come up. finance.yahoo.com/q?s=AAPL170120C00130000Copy AAPL170120C00130000. Go to widget. click on i at the bottom. add AAPL170120C00130000 to the top. Click on done. here is what it looks like: this is not iOS. It is the dashboard widgets on My MacBook Pro. TRY adding an extra 0 to your original insert.

This is the view of the iOS Widget for stocks Similar on Mac OSX I'm trying to add the Options information to there. I used to be able to do it the way that artman mentioned, but it doesn't seem to work any more. I was hoping one of the bright guys or gals here might have figured it out. Both iOS and OSX are the current versions of each.

My idea MAY work with a YAHOO finance app. here is one that might work. try clicking on the i on the front of your stock app (to see the backside of that app) and post a photo here so we can see what that looks like.

Yeah, it would be so awesome to have a better way to track AAPL on the home screen persistently while driving without having to unlock the damn phone and go through several menus. Believe it or not, I still use CNBC or StockPro, and they never default to my watchlist or AAPL. The go to the homescreen so you have to navigate. I've yet to find a decent stocks app. OK Artman, now let's see how you track option spreads in iOS on the notifications screen.

No one is posting any changes on EW wrt AAPL. They remain positive and were yelling bloody murder at the crap that went on at the close with the MMs on Friday like the rest of us were. If I hear anything I will be sure to pass it on. I have to believe that this nonsense tends to wreak havoc with people that like to look at rational fundamentals or logical charts ... it's like MMs Gone Wild ... or a drive by shooting ... you don't know what the heck just happened and you look around and try to figure out if you're ok or if you've been injured. I'm just glad that we have government forces like the SEC and others watching over us so that we never have to worry about any little thing. Phew! As Mr. Schwarzenegger said to his housekeeper, "I'll be back!"

Ok, I got it working in the Yahoo app. Wasn't able to add it directly in the app, but I created a portfolio in Yahoo Finance and added it there. Too bad they don't have it available as a widget to give a quick view.

It was probably both. Other sites are seeing it also as OpEx manipulation of sorts. At this point it doesn't really matter - the only thing that matters is that there really is nothing wrong with the stock and what is happening tomorrow. Friday is officially "history".

That's my version of March MADNESS! That is quite the shopping trip. MacBook Pro is awesome. Then again, I am coming from a 2008 MacBook, not even the Pro. I am trying to figure out if there is a big enough jump between my current 27" iMac and the retina version to justify the upgrade. I am certainly not pushing the existing one from a performance perspective.

I'm sorry, but how is it sent to the home screen? Is that via US Mail or FedEx?

I'm sorry, but how is it sent to the home screen? Is that via US Mail or FedEx? Click on the share button (or whatever it is called) to the right of the address/search box, and select Add to Home Screen.
