Retiring at your age sounds great but you didn't mention whether or not you'd be getting a retirement pension. If you could successfully balance your retirement income (whatever it might be) with your debts (mortgage, etc) I'd sure give serious thought to holding onto as much of your Apple stock as possible. At least that would be my non-advice. No pension other than my company 401K......don't want sell but I don't want to work anymore. I can live off my 401K until social security kicks in...and not touch my Apple stock....I think.

I'm wondering what we'll see at the show - what will be (totally) nailed-down and ready to reveal - of all the areas they're working on now. Besides steady progress on iOS 9 / OS X 10.11 . . .
Maps upgrades, transit info Music - Beats/streaming/hardware Apple HomeHub/TV Pro w/ SDK for apps/games & Apple TV SERVICE Apple Pay Rewards HomeKit SDK2 & Hardware Demos & Apps SpotLight Search w/AppleBot tech Siri w/ProActive Swift 2.0 Watch - native apps SDK What did I forget?
It's time to make Google I/O look like day old donuts.

We downsized and stuck every nickel we had into AAPL which has been the bank account since. We sell shares to raise cash as needed but Apples been growing faster than we've been spending so our net worth is up considerably. I'm only pointing this out to show that there is more than one way to skin a cat.

TC must be reading our thread. I think he got nervous when I threatened to sell my AAPL position if I didn't get the last of my 5 watches that I was waiting for and that most of you have gotten notices on this weekend (42mm space grey sport blk band for my son). About 5 minutes ago I received a text that I will receive it on June 2nd! So there ya go - either TC is reading the thread or word got out I was going to dump my MASSIVE position in a complete tantrum :-) All kidding aside - so glad it's finally arriving. Meanwhile I was stopped THREE TIMES TODAY while running errands by folks asking me if I was wearing "the Apple Watch" and what I thought about it. I DEFINITELY made sales! One observation: they ALL commented that it didn't seem it could be bought yet and I assured them that Apple was revving up production and they should at the very least be getting them out to customers in a much more timely fashion and who knows - possibly have some in the store as well. Don't you love how I was out there writing checks with my mouth and hoping Apple can cash them when they they hit the account! I was trying to create a buzz! My husband took three steps back and was laughing (Quite frankly, I think he didn't want people to know we were together.) Timely fashion - I saw what you did there!!!

phoebear, not wanting to rile you, did you order the 42 mm iteration, as I did. Good news though, If I am getting mine, I am sure your next, I bet you also get charged this weekend. No grrrrrrrr. just checked my account - same EXACT ONE 42mm same band and all - still showing mid June - WTF!? I'M LIVID...I may have to sell my position if they keep this up. THE NERVE! Sorry Phoebes, I ordered my 42mm sport band a week or two after launch and it shipped to me Friday. I mean delivered Friday but I wasn't home. I'll rectify that Monday. EDIT: Just saw your post, grats on getting it in the delivery queue finally! In other news, anyone have any plans to trade against WWDC this week?

Going to either sell puts or perhaps put on a bear call spread (both weeklies). Also thinking of putting on a short with Google, pandora and Netflix since apple is going to take small bites out of their business models

Congratulations on making a retirement plan and then executing the plan. And I'm sure, as with most of the AAPL Longs, you also found the restart of Apple dividends in 08/12 a very nice, surprise addition to your retirement income.

I did hear from multiple people close to me how crazy it was as well. The truth is sometimes stranger than fiction as they say. Quite simply, it was the safest place I could think of to park the assets we had in addition to expecting great things from Steve and the crew he put together. It remains true today as I've never met (or been exposed to) a group as honest and focused as the way I perceive these guys to be. Should that change we'll be gone in a flash.

Only the crazy AAPL investors manage to change their life - . Count me in that club. Have I not been crazy like you two guys, would still be driving a Ford Focus and living in a 2Br condo for a family of four.
