Any plus week is good, but it sure would be nice to put $100 in the rearview mirror on a more permanent basis. I don't really expect WWDC to help much in that regard, but perhaps there will be some surprise to foil what seem to be historically low expectations. Any board members planning to attend? Has Apple announced the end of their traditional tick-tock iPhone cycle? Next to the dismissive rumors about the iPhone 7, I seem to see a lot of stories about the iPhone 8, which is more than premature if it is over two years away. I found Apple And Android Finally Have A New Dividing Line, which claims that the new approach for Android phones is modularity, to be a bit confusing. First, wouldn't the ability to buy add-on units eat into the price difference, which is still IMHO the primary deciding factor for the majority of Android owners? And will people really want the ability to customize what they carry around with them on a daily, or even weekly, basis?

Hello all Posted a little something something on iPhone SE stockouts and unit sales (first of a two-parter) Sorry, it's iOS device tuned to US/UK/Australia only for now. Believe it or not I've actually had at least one 500+ visitor day on News, which beats the heck out of WordPress, so that's where I'm focusing the blogging apple.news/A2HFztvgNQBm6emxSCJKvtA

Thinking about getting my iPhone 6 unlocked, switching number to iPhone SE, then immediately putting the SIM back into the iPhone 6. Cheapest way to port my number to the Apple upgrade plan, but then retain the iPhone 6 for regular use. Looking at using the iPhone SE as a camera/iPod hybrid dedicated to media with no cell connectivity. Not sure Apple would notice or care that I put my number into a different IMEI. Comments?

Why not the old WordPress blog, you ask? Sorry, it's not that easy to copy-pasta everything. Also, Apple News stats say I already have over 750 visitors for the new post. Yep, that's not many people really. But for li'l ol me who used to have to post regularly just to get maybe 100 visitors a day, that's kinda whoa.

Hmm, must have had my head under a rock, Mav. No idea I could put posts directly into Apple News? Or?

I know, artman . Hopefully I'll get around to putting it on WordPress. OTOH, I'm now at over 1,500 visitors for that ONE Apple News post. And it's been less than 12 hours since I posted. I can't ever, ever, EVER see myself getting that readership on WordPress and tweeting at whoever will listen to click the link.

Hmm, must have had my head under a rock, Mav. No idea I could put posts directly into Apple News? Or? Heh, blog copypasta isn't trivial. WordPress makes that easy for WordPress blog posts. With Apple News and WordPress, only the text carries over - no formatting, no links, no images. If I hosted a website ("CMS" in Apple lingo), I could host Apple News readers and the rest of the desktop Web at the same time with the proper plug-ins. But since I have no idea how hosting/costs works, I don't know what kind of readership needed to run the site at a level sufficient to make it worth the hassle. That also goes for finding ad networks. So, one step at a time.

I agree, except for the Sonos part. Apple has provided that stuff since 2004 with AirTunes (now AirPlay).

It is interesting that WWDC starts tomorrow and has received so little discussion here and elsewhere.

I agree Since84. No discussion and VXAPL is about 23. We are becoming the forgotten stock. That is not all bad though. Remember when we wished that all the speculators would GTFO and leave us alone? I think we should just enjoy the summer and wait for some positive surprises. It would not break my heart to have some volatility return in the fall so I can sell some Jan 2019 calls in October
