Four positive weeks in a row for AAPL, including a green day yesterday when the markets were red, yet negativity about Apple still abounds, both in the press and AFB. The latest reports have the iPhone 7 availability pushed to September 23 instead of the previously speculated 16th, so fiscal 4Q may not have the extra revenue bump that was hoped for. Oh well, I guess it doesn't matter anyway since everyone seems to know that there will be no exciting Apple products until the 10th anniversary iPhone, at the earliest.
However, the Red Sox are within a half game in the exciting AL East race, so the sun is still shining in Boston!

I just saw a profile of a female Olympic athlete in Business Week, and in the course of a few short paragraphs she mentioned her Apple Watch, iPhone, MacBook, and Super Drive. On the other hand, the same issue had an article about Apple dropping to 5th in smartphone sales in China. Mixed news as usual, and hard to decide what the future will bring ... what else is new?

My wife and I are spending a month in the UK, the first 16 days of which are being spent in London visiting with my son and his family who have been living here for almost 5 years. I must admit to keeping an eye out for Apple products wherever we go in London and have been pleased to see a great number of iPhones, iPads and even a couple of Apple Watches while out and about. An Apple laptop even popped up briefly during a performance of “Kinky Boots” earlier in the week. During a trip to the British Library yesterday I counted 9 Apple laptops out of the the 28 laptops being used in one of the areas. And yes, I know, we’re on vacation holiday and I should be able to ignore the white earbuds and Apple logos, but it’s a difficult pattern-matching habit for me to overcome. Since I lack rickag’s discipline, I continue to check on the AAPL stock price several times a day and I get pretty impatient for 2:30 PM BST to roll around before the market opens back home. We’ll be here until next Tuesday, the 23rd, so if any forum members are living or visiting anywhere near Leicester Square in London and want to meet up for a cup of coffee, tea or just to say hello, please send me a message. On the 24th we leave London for two weeks in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Cheers to the AAPL Longs!
