open interest on puts at 600 is 11.5K which is sizeable
call open interest above 600 is bananas:
650 - 21K 670 - 13K 680 - 13K 690 - 12K 700 - 32.5K!
I can't do the math in my head, but it seems like even closing at 649 on Friday would still leave a huge meal for EO's.

Carmer's 530 aapl sell call last week is looking like he told people to sell on aapl's lowest day. I respect the guy for his experience, but what a bad call and his flip flopping on apple is bad advice. IMHO if you trading long in aapl you only buy dips never sell dips (assuming only shares not options). AAPL has proved time and time again a very hard stock to short long term. This dip was one of only big opportunities in recent years and he blew the timing big time. May be AAPL isn't out of woods yet, but it looks like he messed up bad on this call.

He will back peddle by saying that he "lightened up" in his Foundation and didn't suggest to sell EVERYTHING...and that he advises you to do the prudent thing, blah, blah, blah....that's how they spin it. The next segment will have Kass pounding his chest.... And Gundlach bidding at the Sotheby's auction for a Warhol piece.

They should have done this from the beginning to avoid the whole GOOG maps crap:
Nokia Maps coming to the App Store Posted on Tuesday, November 13th, 2012 at 11:27 am. PT
Written by Jim Dalrymple
The company said on Tuesday that in the coming weeks it would release a maps app called Here in Apple’s App Store. It will be a free download for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch owners.

Sometimes change is good. Under Forstall, Siri still needs work and Maps should have been a beta from day one (though that's hardly ideal either).
AAPL lethargic, but it is showing relative strength. We'll see how we close.

And I could give a crap about the trade a guy makes in an account that is essentially a charity tax write off. If you want to know what I'm giving to the Salvation Army just ask but be warned it's not investment advice.

Yeah, I just read that blog post. Apparently, this guy's got two and he talks out of one them! Looks nothing more than a negative news aggregator. I could teach a nine yo to search the web and do this on any subject. Basically he is trying to be relevant but has nothing to contribute.

Point being, AAPL trade is largely affected by retail, and retail listens to Cramer, for better or worse. Oh, wait, I forgot, what people say on TV has no effect on Apple.

So, we've had huge high-level personnel changes at Apple and Microsoft; apparently the parallel in each case was that they were "not a team player," and perhaps because each was perceived to have messed up with recent products. I can understand firing someone for the latter reason, but not being a team player seems like an awfully weak reason for getting rid of a top executive ... after all, Steve Jobs was NEVER a team player and the world is much better for it. We need team players to play support roles for the really creative people who change the world, because team players are seldom able to change the world.

Indeed.
But interesting! For a stock that failed the SMA-50 weekly I'd expect worse.
A little more of this and a rangebound hypothesis comes into play. Much better than free fall.
