AP is quoting some republicans saying tax issue won't be resolved until Spring 2018.
Watched an interview with Ryan who has the house under control yet he sees early fall for passage.
They need 8 democrats in Senate to get the 60 votes for tax reform. No way they will get that in this environment. So they will be forced to shut down gov and pass under CR and Budget Resolution which needs only 51 votes.
Morgan Stanley saw 190 in 12 months if tax reform passes. We could add another 6 months to that.
Just keep an eye on moving averages and RSI. If earnings are good we should move higher in the next 8 months with peaks and valleys.

... turn out the house lights, backyard lighting, set the alarm, turn the temp down in the unused portion of the house and make sure all the doors are locked... This is my only daily walking exercise!

... balancing potential pros (tax cuts/repatriation) vs potential cons (border tariffs)? I'm super long on AAPL, and with the upcoming super-cycle & tax benefits, I would really prefer to stay long for a while - but my fear of an unexpected AAPL targeted tweet has me considering my first sale since early aughts... If you have a vague idea of when both of those would happen or a time limit that you say enough is enough, and willing to throw away some money to have a better sleep, long put (ATM) is a good hedge. For example, say you decide by Nov and willing to spend 8% on hedges, long put (Nov $120) for $9.05; by Jul and willing to spend 5%, long put (Jul $120) for $5.80.

Why tech CEOs fear Trump Of course it parrots SV's usual bullshit that there aren't enough skilled US tech workers. They're just 49 and more expensive and harder to abuse than H-1B Indians.

This will all blow over once the snowflakes get the facts and did anyone hear the temporary order will not affect the refugees from Australia, who are currently on an island because Australia won't take them, from coming to the US. Malcolm Turnbull called Trump, and Trump said he will honor the Obama agreement to take these 2,000 refugees, some of which are from the 7 banned countries. Sorry no link.

Thanks Mace - I'm not a sophisticated trader, and have only consistently bought the dips in my long strategy. But I'll look into the how's and implications of your suggestion. I appreciate your help.

With Apple it's hard to play options. Holding shares away from margin is a good plan. Keep some cash if market goes oversold some can make trades on oversold conditions. Tesla is still a gem of a company.
