Apple up almost $4.0- I think shorts will continue to cover this morning either to lock in profits or cut losses.

Premarket breaking 571.
Market went for a gap fill of sorts, now 567 then 563, which pretty much mirrors pre-market. What did the overlords think that 571 was going to do.

On apple's website they are promoted "one day" sales event for Black Friday. I live in Canada does anyone know if this will be also in Canadian stores? Does anyone know how good the sales were last year for the Black Friday Event?

Does anyone know how good the sales were last year for the Black Friday Event? Based on the past, Canadians get to take advantage of the Black Friday sales too.

So far, not bad. AAPL basically unchanged from yesterday.
Fun Fact: With yesterday's move AAPL still trades for a lower multiple than IBM and WMT.

Google finance is so messed up. They are showing a HOD of 574. How about that first 10 minutes. Drop $10 in 10 minutes, yech. At least the bar was raised before the drop. Not sure what the thinking in the PM was, there was no way that was ever going to hold. As has been the case, any PM up move has been quickly defeated.

They run the same stories multiple times on the same page and the date stamp is all screwed up. It's embarrassing. Is it really too much to ask that CNBC fix itself?

Not a fan of the action so far. AAPL trading within my range of expectations.
About half cash right now.

Interesting article about the HP deal. It appears people outside of HP new there were accounting issues before the deal was ever made. And yes, I would take the CEO out into the middle of London and hang him, after the trial of course.

HPQ sure is having issues today. It puts problems Apple has in perspective. click hereAnd INTC CEO bailing. And MS Windows Head Honcho booted. And and and. The PC era is unravelling right in front of us. Once Win8 has had a chance to miss all expectations and utterly fail to slow the PC decline, watch for more consolidation and panic.
