Here's a great video to start the day and stoke the hopes for an Apple Christmas rally: www.bloomberg.com/video/what-do-6-to-12-year-olds-want-for-christmas-rufTTFM3SfS1oyd~HuRQMA.htmlWhy Kids Just Want Apple Products for Christmas... The video only makes a weak effort to address the "why," ... But I love her pronouncements that its going to be an "iChristmas" and "buy your spouse Apple stock and your kids Apple products." I disagree with their view that the costs are "outrageous." The products will be useful for several years, get better over the medium term (software upgrades), inspire some kids to lofty creations, etc. Also, the devices will do many things (like music/video/book creation) that 10 years ago would have cost 100 times more. These are NOT simply toys. These are some of the most powerful and useful tools ever created... A HUGE bargain. This is a golden age for Santa SJ'S mind bicycles. 2013 sees Apple once again DOUBLING the number of cylinders and still firing on all of them!

Barclays went shopping and they bought a few tablets. Actually, more accurately, they bought iPads, and they made the largest corporate of iPads in the UK.

AAPL getting extremely close to 20 day MA and upon closing over 20day MA IMHO prepare for a multi week term uptrend. This has happened multiple times over the past few years. These quiet sessions and flat trading has set up perfectly for a monster run in the coming weeks if black friday sales are up.

Ali Kaplan @alishops Only store at the mall with a line right now. Guesses? ... pbs.twimg.com/media/A8YorzqCYAERnKY.jpg:largeOk. This is a Tweet from Ali Kaplan (a reporter in Minneapolis) that I tried to copy over to here. It won't work. She posted a picture from the Mall of America Apple store from this morning. It shows a line of people waiting to get in to the open for business Apple store. For those with a Twitter account, you'll be able to look up Ali and go see her post. She posted it around 7am today. ;D edited to add photo.

Apple Stores absolutely dominate mall traffic.
I posted on Wednesday how my store wasn't all that busy because they were lining people up before coming in so they could cap the number of people in the store at one time. I was incorrect. That long line was actually for online pickups. Over the course of about 90 minutes that I spent there, the number of customers in the store at least doubled to make the store an absolute zoo. And that's at 2:30pm.
I'm expecting a surprise to the upside for Q1. I can't wait.

Over the SMA-50 weekly, that's the metric I'm following.
I'll take an "early" flyer. Bought calls with unreliable stop limit leg-in order. Call it a "step" trade.

boom... 2 more of the new Touches have been sold! Meijer (a midwestern grocery/superstore) had a nice $50 store credit rebate on them yesterday... decided that since it is essentially "dividend re-investment" Apple product purchases would not count against the Christmas spending budget!
Less than 90 minutes to the close and we're above $568 - a close up here would be beautiful!

Now with Philips HUE lighting system and Nest (thermostat) installed, Apple is already making its presence felt inside the home. With Siri, Apple is positioning itself to transform living spaces into something much better. We just need that functionality with a HDTV.
Just as feature phones became smartphones, might we start referring to living areas as smart rooms?
By the way, Philips HUE and Nest are GREAT products. I highly recommend them.

We installed a nest thermometer almost a year ago. Excellent device. I'm going to quantify the YOY savings in energy useage at the one year use mark....it will be meaningful..

Will post pics later. iPad mini 16GB wifis sold out. Ate too much, drank too much and had a great time with family yesterday. AAPL green today and a full store, life is good. Cheers to all.

Also @ Chicagoland Oakbrook Apple Store, very very busy. Walked out withh 32 GB ATT mini iPad and some new Apple Earpods. The Earpods are truly great, and a no brainer at 22 bucks, they fit very comfortably. IPads are every other sale, probably 50 blue shirts all ringing something up at any given moment, truly impressive!

The Commodore took my ( sorry....her) iPad mini to the family feast yesterday. Numerous pictures of this dissolute group were taken with iPhones ranging from 3GS to 5.
Then devices were plugged in and wifi enabled. Photo streams shared. The new mini then became the viewing device de jour, handed around and enjoyed. a GREAT experience and easy and flawless.
The Commodore believes she has now personally sold six other minis through her family and business contacts. She wants a dozen by Christmas.

That's funny, I thought Fitz said SELL PREMIUM, AMERICAN BEAR FLAG and SMA-100 HOURLY WANTS LOWER
Anyway, price action is what I try to follow. I ain't in Fitz's league, but I see 570 and SMA-50 weekly takeback and I like where we're headed into the close!

I hope no one died today at Walmart. No seriously, that's as pathetic as it is horribly tragic.
