Nice opening week for 2018, just short a penny of reversing the final week loss of 2017. Here's hoping that is a harbinger for the rest of the year. Class Action #21 against Apple was filed in Brooklyn for Intentionally Degrading the iPhone's Performance is certainly a great example of our litigious society. Apple is not blameless here, but at least they have made an effort assuage the offended. I can't wait for the suits about the Meltdown and Spectre flaws in Intel chips to begin. Now that the Christmas quarter has closed, speculation can begin about the results to be announced on February 1. There certainly seems to be reason for high expectations, given there were reports like iPhone X Availability Is Impressive Ahead of Christmas (unless you are a naysayer who believes that indicates lack of demand), as well as other news such as the demand exceeding supply for the AirPods. We made our contribution for the quarter by getting a new iMac. Now if the demand for Chinese New Year can be met, the next quarter could provide another boost for AAPL. Looking farther into the future, Apple Inc.'s 6.46-Inch iPhone X Could Be a Huge Seller signals that there could be a continuing rise in ASP ahead. Perhaps it is time to start a contest to guess the date when AAPL reaches $200 and/or Apple Inc. become a trillion dollar company.

For those of you inclined to take a more pessimistic view, Lateness Bedevils Apple CEO Cook New Apple Trend: Late Gear Delivery. While this situation is not optimal, it is certainly better than delivering products on time that just sit there on the shelves. If one were inclined to conspiracy theories, one could almost believe that the delays are at least semi-intentional in order to hype demand.

Since I retired last Oct I have started working out regularly. So for Christmas I got an Apple Watch. I have been wearing a Citizen watch for over 25 years and was apprehensive.
I am impressed and am still learning its abilities. I swim laps and was surprised it automatically recognizes what stroke I am using (re: freestyle up and breaststroke back on each lap, I’ll have to challenge it with butterfly)
I will have to learn to scribble better, I have sent some pretty unintelligible messages 😋.
So far I have been getting 2 days battery life (re: I take it off at night and turn it off).

Unfortunately I'm recovering from a knee injury which prevents me from closing the exercise rings on my elliptical and off the slopes. The watch though keeps bugging me to stand up, move and close the rings. I wear it 24 hrs, it only takes an hour or less to fully charge. Remember you can use Siri in messages or use the pre typed responses in iMessage if you scroll down.

macster Thank you for the suggestions & hope you get back on the slopes soon.
Friend of mine just passed through last December on his way to his annual three months ski vacation. If I get back into good enough shape, maybe I’ll call him up and visit him get in a few runs down the slopes.
