Nice move AAPL, closing nearly at yesterday's high. Volume is a little light, roughly 70% of average. S&P volume is light too, at 57% of average. That makes me leery, even if AAPL's RSI is just crossing 70. But if a few of those 12 underwater analysts off of PED's list up their targets, that could help AAPL continue to climb for a bit. Many of the top targets for AAPL are around $210, which is less than 9% from the current $193. While AAPL could keep climbing from here, I'd more expect a modest pullback, sometime.I liked your last sentence so much, 4aapl, that I bumped the J ohn Maynard Keynes quote from my signature in order to include it instead. Since my degree was in Physics, not English, I don't have the education to determine whether or not that sentence could be considered haiku...but it speaks to me. And I humbly suggest it should be the universal motto for Apple Longs: While AAPL could keep climbing from here, I'd more expect a modest pullback...sometime. See? Perfect! Awwww, thanks! I made the quote wall! While you may be putting it there for a different reason, to me it seems that if you are going to look at the shorter term movement of AAPL, that you should have an idea of where it may go and why. Otherwise one could get freaked out over a small move down, and sell before a longer term move up. But stock predicting, even in the short term, is more like seeing weather forecasts, or maybe a moderate level billiards player calling out his shots. It might look possible or even probable, and odds are in favor, but that still doesn't mean it will happen. Having been invested in AAPL for over 20 years now, I've seen a few larger downturns in the stock, while also seeing some people get freaked out about the stock in the shorter term with small downturns. I've also seen people get much too confident in their predictions, up or down, and hence the attempt to keep a modest mindset by adding "sometime" even though I feel AAPL is likely to go down 2-6% starting in the next week or two, and would give that something on the order of a 80% confidence. It's just a small wave in the ocean, against what should be a lifting tide. For those that just sit back from the water and enjoy watching the waves or even ignore them, it's a non-issue. But for those playing around at the water's edge, it pays to keep an eye on what waves are coming your way. (That's a better quote)

Perhaps today will be "the pause that refreshes." In the mean time, the chartists among us can buoy their spirits with Apple Stock Is Poised for $200 and Beyond, which predicts an ultimate rise to $260.84 (!!!). Obviously, a very large grain of salt is on the menu here, but it never hurts to dream.

NASDAQ.com says Apple has 5,074,013,000 shares outstanding. I think that means we hit 1 trillion market cap at 197.083. Does that seem correct?

No, that is incorrect......... Bernie Madoff must be running NASDAQ again. The website must be outdated. Artman, what is the correct number of outstanding shares? The answer is in SINCE84's signature: As of April 20, 2018 there were 4,915,138,000 diluted shares putting $1T at a share price of $203.46. The magic share price is rising quickly as the shares outstanding continue to decline... Can you see "signatures" on your device? I view AFB on a MacBook pro..........

Yes, thank you. I can see the signatures. I was looking for a more recent value for number of shares. Does anyone know a source to track this? quarterly on the 10-Q Also, it is relevant to distinguish between the quarterly average (which many outlets use) and the quarter ending share counts.
