Reads like a gloom and doom one-sided or shorted-sighted opinion piece. Close to fair journalism but falls short. Contruction jobs will be plentiful. New restaurants, new rental housing construction, Retail. Medical and all this needs to be supplied creating more jobs. I mean I could go on and on. Are there risk sure but the tax base will surely grow. More paying into medicare, social security, federal, state and local taxes. All that and a estimated 5 billion cost for the state with 10 billion being invested by Foxconn. Why not?

But neither should you get exited because after all our President’s policies paved the way. President Trump!!!!! Calm down now. If Obama was capable of spearheading the Foxconn move (we know it was impossible) you would be rejoicing the positive more than the negatives. Local news link. www.jsonline.com/story/money/2017/07/31/foxconn-housing-boom-would-start-apartments/519903001/Ps Stopped reading after the author wrote about monotonous jobs watching robots. Those are high paying jobs that began a century ago at Ford on the assembly lines which allowed increased wages. These jobs are everywhere today.

This is silly. It didn't "cost" Wisconsin anything. That's all imaginary money. If Foxconn didn't get the tax break, it wouldn't have come to Wisconsin, resulting in ZERO tax revenues from Foxconn. By not stealing from Foxconn shareholders, Wisconsin gets jobs. Sounds like a winner to me. Math is hard, especially for the lefty Guardian. Now go ask what kind of tax treatment China gives to its companies.
