Horace Dediu has Earnings Per Share. So what I gather from the article, EPS is tough to estimate as the number of shares Apple bought back is anyone's guess at this point. I'm hoping they went all out buying back, if Apple believes there is value in the shares it makes little sense to wait for the rest of WS to figure that out. As I've said before, Apple has the ability to financially engineer the share price much higher .... how high is a mystery to me but there is no doubt that putting that money to work will yield SP appreciation as WS never valued the cash hoard properly. Just picked up some more AAPL for my IRA. Cheers to the longs ....

I'll admit it. I crossed over to the dark side and bought AMZN Wednesday at the open. AMZN destroyed profit expectations at home and abroad. And didn't just do it for this quarter. They're projecting $1.4-$2.4B in operating income next quarter, after projections were calling for $1.25B. The upper end of revenue is below the average analyst expectation. But the profit margins are finally coming together for them.

Hello old AFB friends Found the motivation again somehow to write up Apple Earnings Preview #21 (I've managed to keep posting a preview every fiscal quarter since I started five or so years ago) It helped some that it's "commemorative" in a sense. The 2007-paradigm iPhone is very soon fading away into history. BRING ON THE APPLE NOTCHPHONES! apple.news/ARRQna1ecTrmXVVsnuIY-EA

Just picked up some more AAPL for my IRA.Cheers to the longs .... And you'll never regret it. A little over 61% of our AAPL share are in our IRA accounts_so even though I have to sell a large number of AAPL shares every year from my IRA's because of my yearly RMD, the AAPL we pick up from reinvesting 100% of the quarterly dividends in our IRA's more than makes up for it, thereby continually increasing our total shares of AAPL. More shares of AAPL in our IRA's means, of course, that the total *value* of IRA dividends that we get each quarter continues to increase, as well. It's the gift that keeps on giving!! As you always end each of your posts, Cheers to the longs!!
