With the Watch now an FDA approved item, can you use your health benefits towards buying an Apple Watch? If this happens, then there will be a big push to get an Apple Watch, and maybe an iPhone Xr for the current Android crowd.

I’m happy as ever with latest hardware unleashed on the masses. Also pretty happy about the strength of share price since ER and leading into this well-leaked, no surprises event.
My wife is now demanding a watch, after being half-sold at best for previous iterations. A big part of it, I believe, is that they are now very common in the wild and no big deal, not something that stands out or suggests tech obsessive. I suspect, based on the wife indicator, accelerated growth in the Watch and wearables in general will continue.
I remember the first iPhone, I knew many cool kids who were hugely resistant to the very idea of a ‘smartphone’ (my wife included).
Hard not to smile at where we might be in 5 yrs, 10 yrs. Its easier than ever to cling to my shares.

Watched the presentation tonight.
Regarding the Apple Watch 4, the health features are very cool, but not sure how many senior citizens or general public here in the US or worldwide can afford an iPhone and a $500 watch just for an ECG, or fall detection. The screen size increase is not as noticeable in their video demos. Will buy one, but not in a hurry.
The iPhone upgrades have two areas that I find enticing. They lowered the price with the Xr which will give the X good sold growth and they added the 128. So once could get the latest iPhone and actually pay less. The stainless steel casing looks impressive and will have to see in person. I felt the original X looked cheap. As I had stated, I saw nothing that would make me ditch my iPhone 8. The Face ID was touted as being faster but no actual percentage attached to the claim. If one bought the X there would be little incentive to upgrade. The Xs is still a big jump in price compared to what one paid for the original 7 or 6s. So I see many upgrading to the 8 as a result.
No new iPad or AirPods. Clearly Apple is putting all its focus in the two products with highest growth potential.
The video at the beginning showing the inside of the Apple Ring is impressive.
My wife does want the latest Apple Watch and she is confident that she can sell her version 3.

I think the watch series 4 was the highlight of the show. People buying for medical necessity (AFib detection and ECG) as opposed to just want could be big. It’s just the beginning of Apple and medical devices. Hang on
