I think this might be the beginning of the end game for Tesla. WSJ reported that Elon and his lawyers pulled a deal that he and the SEC had a agreed to in the case. I think the SEC will push for no less than barring him from being an officer at a publicly traded company as per the legal filing. This doesn't even include the DOJ criminal investigation and the SEC investigations into Tesla itself. Personally, I've been slowly accumulating long dated put spreads out in March and June, I had even added a little 310-300 spread yesterday on the spike. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Tuffet, I hope you took some profits and have done well on the stock.

I've said this for a long time: Regardless of Tesla's fundamentals (they suck), it's a cult of personality, and it was just a matter of time before the loose cannon nutter Musk melts down and the Board has to run him.
So what is Tesla without the "visionary" Musk? What is the real value of a company that just doubled its EPS losses YOY last quarter? And how long will the tax credits be around for a company under criminal investigation? I could be wrong, but it just seems like hope and pipe dreams because some people like the environmental thing (if that were all that mattered, solar companies would be a good investment). "Well Amazon didn't make profits at first and look what they are now" isn't an argument. Webvan.com and broadcast.com didn't make profits either. 99% of companies that don't make profits die off. I think TSLA ends in tears for shareholders.
Anyway, let's hope that Goldman Sachs' AAPL target is accurate!
