Here’s what I said this weekend: We’re at the end of a vicious wave three down from 222. My WAG: Capitulation below 169 with a red dog reversal on Monday. Then see a correction to 190 or so. Didn’t see sub-169, but came close to touching it. AAPL lagging the broad market, which I don’t like. But the price action today has been constructive. Microsoft crossing Apple in market cap is a total joke and we all know it. I’m not so sure. Microsoft has found a way to increase profits while appearing more consumer friendly. Apple is having to jack up prices just to maintain their margins, and it seems there is some real backlash this time. Apple is also much more susceptible to external issues such as trade wars, product recalls, etc.

I wouldn't worry too much about the tariffs.
But I'm also of the belief that this whole trade war is coming to an end soon. Not to get too political, but Trump is not going to have this hanging over his head entering the 2020 campaign if it's viewed as a negative by the voting public.

As goes Apple so goes the market.
I have to just shake my head at the timing of the comments .... the whole "negotiation" seems ill conceived and I have yet to see any kind of strategy ... because there is no strategy.
This idea of who can take more pain is no game I want to be a part of but unfortunately I am.
Cheers to the longs .... looks like it's gonna be a rough 2019 if this keeps up.

Trump thinks this is a winning issue, which is why he's pushing it so hard.
Using Apple as a political pawn is fine for him, but it's a real negative catalyst for shareholders.
Trade war could tank the fragile economy. It's already hit the car manufacturers and agriculture.
