Not to worry. You have jinxed a shadow. Not the real thing.

Just heard something funny on CNBC - Eamon Javers comparing the Fiscal Cliff talks to having gone from "Apocalypse Now" to "When Harry Met Sally" .... flirting for a bit and eventually getting together.

Samesung to drop lawsuits against AAPL in Europe...supposedly on Bloomberg...stock popping as soon as headlines hit.

Seems like BofA is out there this morning saying that APPL sell-off on supply chain concerns is overdone...sell-side geniuses having an epiphany (sarcastic, of course.)

Trying to post from iPhone) My bet would be it is in reaction to Koh declining Apple an injunction in California late yesterday. Also in the name of consumer choice.

Actually I suspect that Samsung have come to their senses and realized that all these cases they're bringing against Apple using standards encumbered patents will just cause them to be nuked from orbit by the standards bodies and the European bodies.

Lovemyipad and all,
thanks for your comments yesterday regarding risk management rules on exiting bull call spreads. When establishing a position, how much % of one's portfolio should be allocated to a single position? Also, how much cash should one keep in reserve.
many thanks,
ongba

I think 2 points up is wandering due to a sense that the bottom is in. I sense more drifting for a few weeks.

Well I sold some ugly spreads that I had bought earlier in the year to get some losses on my account since I had a fairly large gain earlier this year...at least it helps balance out the taxes, though I'll still have a fairly nice for me gain this year. I took the proceeds from that sale and used some other leftover cash to fund some of the January 14 800/850 Bull Call Spreads at $3.50. Hopefully after earnings I can unload half of them at a double and let the rest ride...at least in an ideal world that's how it goes

Quadruple witching is this week. Statistically speaking, there are lower prices ahead for a bit.

Quadruple witching is this week. Statistically speaking, there are lower prices ahead for a bit. i just googled to find out what that is. yea that is a big friday. Funny thing is, 3 months ago on the quadruple witching day, September 21st, AAPL hit it's all time high...

Judge Koh's message:
You're free to infringe on any patents you want to as long as you include enough other features that don't infringe patents.
What a grade A idiot. Way to defend IP.
