Well just like clock work after the 157.80 gap from Jan 2 was filled, we started to correct. It is a slow orderly correction with very little volume. This tells me we are all market driven. Options OI seem to indicate a close around 150 by Friday.
Next week will be interesting. Feb options do show a good chance of a move back into the mid 150. So the news must be good encough that after this sellofff Apple will recover quickly again.
March is the more interesting month. I was tempted in buying puts yesterday but now will wait until Friday to get a better lay of the land.

On a side note, I find it interesting that TC is in Davos. He talks with WS often and that has not helped the stock. He went to the WH and Donald is still at war with his favorite country China. So what reason does he have to meet with world power brokers and world leaders. Apple’s growth is still dependent on international sales. Regulations and local politics are key.
I don’t have much faith in his political abilities and I think he is enjoying the attention too much.

Asking for a friend.

If we find ourselves around 220 and 215, we should be ready for a selloff regardless of what Apple reports. I'm not the technician you are, but...a selloff going into the holiday season? Whatever the price is Nov. 1, I find hard to believe that it will be lower come January 1.
TA for S&P says we are going down in Nov and even more in Dec. the market will drag Apple down with it.
Apple can report strong earnings and decent guidance!, but WS can use one data point to justify selloff.
For me I think the data point will be iPhone numbers. I am modeling a drop in sales YOY for Q1.
The X was cool enough last year to see flat YOY Q1 sales. There is not enough reason to suddenly upgrade this year to more expensive iPhones.
The world economy has been slowing down and here in the US we may have hit a peak last Q in GDP. So more expensive iPhones in this environment does not indicate increased sales.
I still think we have a decent chance of hitting ATH in the first 3 months of 2019.

So I thought on occasion of today being the 35th Anniversary of the day Steve Jobs introduced the Macintosh, I would share a Mac story of my own. It's was good number of years ago and I was a guest at a wedding in Maine. I came to find out that the Groom Worked for and had one of the first Titanium G4s in The Country and The Maid of Honor Worked for Microsoft at Redmond! At the time I had a G3 "Wallstreet Powerbook that would if you asked it nicely boot into Windows. So I was giving the Maid of Honor all kinds of Grief all weekend long this... and Macintosh that....
So as a kind of weird peace offering i went into the room next to where she was and booted into Mac OS and then walked into the room where she was and booted into Windows. Her back was toward me but she immediately pivoted to the source of the sound like The Borg getting Assimilated with a look of sheer joy on her face, then she saw the glowing white logo on the lid and her whole face crumbled she looked at me with a look of sheer incomprehension and said to me Your Running Windows? And I said Yes and she looked at me and repeated over and over Your Running Windows on a Mac!? The closer i got to her it was as if i was holding glowing Kryptonite as she just could not believe how her beloved operating system was somehow running on an laptop.!!
