I'm a big fan of Apple moving out of the Eastern District of Texas. While it is unfortunate for those store employees and customers who live nearby, it is a big FU to the patent trolls who continue to sue them in that district.

I haven’t had a chance to read any of the articles - is there a quick take on how closing these stores helps Apples fight against those patent trolls?

Closing the stores means that the plaintiff has to file in different court. The Eastern District Court is famous for allowing people to file frivolous suits in hopes of bullying the defendant into a settlement. techcrunch.com/2019/02/22/apple-confirms-its-plans-to-close-retail-stores-in-the-patent-troll-favored-eastern-district-of-texas/
