While 3 cameras on the phone seems likely, it will not look nearly as bad as that wretched render that leaker is pimping. Apple has more taste and design sense than the talentless wanker who put that render together.
It will be interesting to see what sort of software advancement can come from having 3 cameras (with presumably different focal lengths). Clearly a wider zoom ratio would be part of it. I wonder if they will incorporate more advanced 3D stuff, or maybe light-field tech ala Lytro, albeit at a reduced resolution.

The estimable Horace Dediu has AiriPods, including a possible thought about why they now come only in white.

Business Insider: "Over half of respondents (54%) are unlikely to use Apple TV Channels - Apple's new service announced on Monday, according to an informal survey of Business Insider readers from Business Insider Intelligence. Apple TV Channels will enable users to pull in content from 150+ video providers via Apple's updated connected-TV app. The service will compete directly with Amazon Channels, which launched in 2015."
Quick! Run! Sell your AAPL now! That only leaves 136 million customers who WOULD be likely to use Apple TV Channels. At $10 per month per customer that would be $16.320B in new annual revenue.

If I understood the presentation correctly, I don't think there's a subscription fee to Apple for ATV Channels. And this is separate from the Apple content coming this fall. I believe ATV Channels facilitates subscription purchases and individual content purchases to premium content services like HBO and Showtime, where they reside as "channels" and integrates them into the ATV TV app. It's somewhat confusing because some subscription providers, I'm thinking Hulu here, have already enabled integration into the ATV TV app. The primary purpose being to eliminate the need to use apps developed by each content provider and to unify the user interface and ATV advanced functions.

My Apple Watch says we closed up $1.23 - a nickel away from $190. Happy weekend!

some of the comments from the MacRumors Story on same:
"Incredible. The biggest tech company in the world can't build a charging mat. Apparently Air power is dead."
“But... why did they put AirPower on the 2nd gen AirPod box?? What a joke.”
Not to mention The wireless charging selling point of AirPods 2

I'd really like a more detailed story of what went wrong with this.

Here are his thoughts on this: SourceSo the Apple AirPods will still work with a wireless charging mat, however, Apple won't be building their own version.

I have owned several BMW’s, early to mid 2000s, that wirelessly kept the ignition key battery charged while it was in the ignition. BMW also offers a charging mat for their electric vehicles where you simply park above it to recharge the cars battery. I also own a wireless electric toothbrush that recharges while it sets in its cradle. Wireless charging is not new tech. I think that Apple doesn’t offer a wireless charging station because Apple doesn’t care to offer a wireless charging station. With or without such a feature, I’ll still buy Apples products. It’s not a deal breaker for me, only a convenience.

It’s not a deal breaker for me, only a convenience. I looked at wireless charging mats a bit at xmas when a brother-in-law wanted one. Reading reviews, most of the complaints on a standard one zone one are when the device is not centered and so charges slowly or not at all, or when a case causes slow or no charging. And things heating up, though often this is normal. But being able to charge multiple things is tougher. IKEA has a 3 zone mat, but you have to position things right. And that causes problems, based on the reviews. www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10308315/Apple wanted to do a mat where you just tossed things on it and didn't have to worry. That seems possible, one way being with a bunch of zones and then sensing. But they must have hit enough problems, say with charging fast enough and yet still not hitting issues when devices are touching or too close to each other. I nearly bought a wireless charging mat the other day, but the top priority is replacing the screen on the 8+, and then putting it in a heftier case. It's hard to know if the case will now be too thick to use well with wireless charging.

I bought two $15 ChoeTech brand wireless charging discs around xmas for our bedroom nightstands. They've worked flawlessly for three months now. iPhone XR and XSmax never feel warm from wireless charging and it's as quick as plugged in.

They've worked flawlessly for three months now. iPhone XR and XSmax never feel warm from wireless charging and it's as quick as plugged in. Do you have cases on your iPhones? If so, how thick are they, roughly? Apple likes to bring technology together such that the solution is automagical. It just works, like magic, automatically. Being able to just empty everything out onto a nightstand and have it just charge...it makes sense. But it doesn't take many mishaps, either a fire/damage or even an uncharged item the next morning, to taint it. Even if the user is doing it wrong. While the theory is good, I'd rather Apple just have a plain one-unit charger that has been well tested. Put it in the $20-$30 range (though they'd probably do more), and let people buy more if they need more. They can make or advise on a multi-port option, either USB or electrical power plug, to let multiple ones be in the same area without needing a power strip. Sometimes easier is just better. Don't make it overly complicated. And make your sales now, getting the person with just one device, instead of them buying a different charger now, and then deciding in the future when they have 2 or even 3 devices that they might want a multi-charger mat or the like. (FWIW, I replaced the screen on the 8+. The hardest part was transplanting cables and camera/sensors from the old screen to the new. While not too difficult, I'm looking forward to working on the car (timing belt and/or replacing a wheel bearing and hub....never done either), which while having many steps I at least don't have to worry about striping out a microscopic screw or ripping a thin cable)
