Next question - how long before some Trump zealot censors me again?

The question will be how many bulls are left in 16 months.
I recall quite vividly how many where so discouraged and cashed out in 2013 and 2016.
Everyone is fixated on Trump when they should be paying attention to sales and profits.

Hello everyone. New poster here. Read some of the older threads, really inspired by Luckychoices story and trading philosophy, which I share. Long AAPL for many years. On a different topic, I am puzzled as to why the discussion of politics as related to AAPL are taboo. Today is a perfect example of politics directly effecting the stock price. Political comments that are factual and relevant to AAPL are useful in my opinion. I am disappointed in the arbitrary action of deleting relevant comments.

I BTFD and “I see” green futures.
WWDC is around the corner and this trade mess will get worked out. I can wait.

Glad you joined AFB and made us aware of your presence. You make an excellent point about political comments that are factual and relevant to AAPL but the problem occasionally comes from the factual part, since confirmation bias is sometimes difficult to avoid. As with most groups, we have some members with very politically diverse opinions and, unfortunately, some people are unable to voice their *opinion* without quite abusive language towards the folks with whom they disagree. I believe and hope that, in most cases, the moderators will take a hands-off approach to deleting or moving comments, if at all possible. In any case, glad you're here and hope you'll enjoy contributing to the daily running commentary regarding Apple/AAPL. Many, if not most of us, find ourselves checking out AFB several times during the day.

I am puzzled as to why the discussion of politics as related to AAPL are taboo. They're not. But we never have political "discussions" here. Just diatribes and name calling. :/ Welcome anyway.

agreed re: Crispin. that idiot has never had the upper hand, nor a plan. China will play him like a fiddle, and simply wait until 2020 if they have to. But but there was a plan. Before initiating the trade question the US President grew the US economy successfully on multiple fronts to a position of strength and visited China for one on one talks. It was all premeditated and open. In 2 years China will have an exodus of manufacturing to other Asian countries including . Also China will lose the public relations war before the world. The world is watching because they all have issues with China. We will see who cracks first. Negotiations still ongoing. do you really believe that? Spoiler: there was no plan. The economy grew as a holdover from the Obama years, and the one-time tax giveaway from the right-wing crowd. nothing drumpf did directly improved the economy at all. I don't see much if any exodus of manufacturing happening anytime soon. There may be lip service to that effect (foxconn in Wisconsin for example) but that's just window dressing to appease the narcissist. If anything I expect China to win any PR war, given who their opponent is. The world may be watching but few of them are taking our side in this, and understandably so.

If the Chinese decide to boycott Apple products (I believe they already have to some extent), this could get much worse. Not the best country to piss off. Grain markets going elsewhere might be long lasting. The man with the tan has no plan Stan.
