I am with Nuclearboots. Tariffs are certainly fair game for discussion. Trump bashing should not be a part of this board. I think most of us would agree that tariffs are fair game for discussion. That being said, an AFB member opining that Trump's tariffs are unwise and ill-considered should not be considered Trump bashing, IMO. I will, however, concede that "entitled fat ass" probably falls into that category. I have been a board member for many years, when Robert Leitao was the moderator. This is the worst day I have seen. I've also been a board member for many years and this isn't anywhere close to the worst day I've seen. Heck, during a weekday, anytime we get 3 pages of comments from a total of 23 commenters with another 10 members dishing out likes...and AAPL finishing green, can't be too bad of a day. The board may no longer be impartial. A board is not a sentient being so it's neither partial nor impartial. The investors that are members of the board will certainly pay close attention to outside forces which are adversely affecting their investment. It's difficult to expect them to *always* be impartial, as in free from self-interest or bias.

The other theme is how god damn oblivious or willfully ignorant Trump is on how tariffs and supply chains actually work, by continually trotting out amateur hour nonsense like:
1. The Chinese are paying the tariffs 2. Don’t like tariffs - simple - build or buy in the US
How you would like to be a business owner being hurt by these actions, when the guy who is supposed to have a plan won’t even acknowledge that he is damaging you and your livelihood. And not only that, he is now crowing about making life even worse by increasingly tariffs on another $300B of products.
So those of you here that are offended by posts calling out this xxxx xxx, we will pale in comparison to business owners in the cross hairs who have done nothing wrong.
Note my new found restraint on name calling.

firestorm largely left this forum because he got tired of hearing how the other half thinks. I certainly don't want to be dragged into debate with the hairy trolls who live in The Dungeon.

Wow we’ve got almost the same AAPL story. I’ll never forget my first purchase after the big 2000 crash. I’d just opened a Datek account and put all my earnings from a month of film work into Apple, more or less on a gut feeling. Buy and hold has been the smart money way for me ever since. I entered at the same time. October 11 I think. It’s like we have the same birthday! It was a long wait to see a gain though. Right I think Apple was pretty much dead money and then boom, iPod

I entered at the same time. October 11 I think. It’s like we have the same birthday! It was a long wait to see a gain though. Right I think Apple was pretty much dead money and then boom, iPod At the time, there were naysayers everywhere. Everyone would diss the Mac and Apple and claim they were on the brink of extinction. But with Jobs back, product lines rationalised and freshened up with the IMac, I just thought, that eventually consumers would start taking notice, of the ease of use, the quality, the lack of malware...and so on.... And they did. iPod was brilliant. It was a simple idea. Easy to understand. And it set the stage for the more complex products like iPhone, the less tangible subscription services and Apple’s incredible eco system.

The person that wrote this piece is a complete knucklehead.... Apple antitrust nonsense
Suggests that consumers are harmed because you can’t purchase apps outside of the App Store. I’ll stay right inside that walled garden where it’s nice and safe thank you....
