Since84, also many thanks from me for opening the daily thread and your very gentle back in the seat „moderation“ of this board. Since I am in a different time zone I am reading it around mid day but I try to never miss it. Best wishes for your future!

to old timers and long-term holders... anticipating your advice that this too shall pass and to hold strong, my situation is different... I have a core holding that i won't touch (though lstream spooked me indicating he's selling some)... but I also 'trade around' with shorter-term bets... i made a big bet back in january at $150... i was *this* close to cashing that one out ($220 was my target)... i was honestly expecting the trade deal would be signed when it was anticipated (early May)
If every wave were perfect, would there be a perfect wave? It takes some down times to appreciate the up, and to dial in your own risk/reward ratio. When the money is easy and it seems like there is no downside, that's when your bets and risk tolerance gets bigger and bigger. There's seemingly no risk, no downside. I could tell some stories of when I or others were affected by this, some with huge dollar signs attached. Maybe you or others would get something from it. But really, you have to experience some of this on your own. Good luck! May your loses be small in comparison to your future gains. There is an old saying that I must remind myself of many times, “When the market is in an uptrend, we believe that it will always be in an uptrend. But when it’s in a down trend, we believe that it will always be going down.” I find that this applies to many parts of life. This too shall pass.

Many thanks Since84, you've been a superb foundation for this board all these years. I read the board every day since it began and it's been an essential part of my investment decisions.
