I'm going to keep this as non political as possible.
Is the US gearing up for war? Is this the flag to sell?

Nah, Iranians aren't into iPhones.
Heck, they're not even part of the Central Banking system.

All the other countries, and the UN said they were complying with the sanctions. Just this administration saying they weren't. My worry here is about my account. Let's say war is inevitable. what happens to the market? Iran may not be big buyers of iPhones, but how will the overall market react?

Let's say war is inevitable. what happens to the market? Iran may not be big buyers of iPhones, but how will the overall market react? war is great for the stock market. Case in point, the Nasdaq increased over 45% in 9 months starting in March, 2003, right after the US announced it was going to Iraq/Afghanistan. Interestingly enough, this announcement was also made the day after the Bank of Int'l Settlement changed their house currency from Swiss Francs to SDRs. Just a piece of trivia, as in "yes, it's all connected". And like all the food we eat, it all ends up at the same place (the sewage treatment plant).
