Reuters (and many others) has Apple buys self-driving car startup Drive.ai. Sounds like the typical Apple strategy: "Technology news website The Information reported earlier this month that the iPhone maker was considering acquiring the firm as a move to bring aboard some of its engineering talent to boost Apple’s own self-driving efforts."

Welcome back $200; let’s see if we can hold on to it this time.

Welcome back $200; let’s see if we can hold on to it this time. While the self-driving acquisition helps (one article said they were about to lay off 80 employees), it's the tariff hopes that are painting the market, with an interesting mix of what's up and what's not: Nice to see AAPL up. And it will be nice if this China trade stuff does manage to get knocked down a few notches on the wall of worry, this time.

News from Seattle that an Apple Campus will be added here: www.cnn.com/2019/06/25/tech/apple-seattle-jobs/index.htmlThis is the same tech neighborhood, near the Space Needle, where Amazon expanded so dramatically and so suddenly that now there is a derisive term for the Amazon employees: Amholes.

Here's a bit of fun... There is a German performer who calls himself the "iPad Magician," using same for many of his illusions. You can start here, and if you are amused there is a link to a series of articles showing several of his tricks.

Hard to complain about a green four buck day, but that 200 barrier has been awfully stubborn.

Looking at OI for calls in Sept and then applying the average 15% move from lows of summer to iPhone release, then his numbers seem very possible. I now have a target of 220-225 middle of Sept.. Like I said a few days ago, I see the market signaling decent numbers in July from Apple. RSI is trending upward whith lots of room to run in the next two months. Come Oct-Dec we can have a very different story. I think any truce in tariffs will only last about 4 months. I also don’t think the latest iPhone will do well at all.
