Took my losses on the small position in puts from Friday and switched to calls.
TA now indicates we could see 228 this week. The reversal in the last hour on Friday changed the sentiment from bearish to bullish. We needed to get below 217 and then 215.
The jP Morgan upgrade will look foolish come Dec. However WS is getting out while retail keeps pilling in. Money flow shows the slow leak in the stock since June and again since beginning of the month.

New iOS adds some nice features to CarPlay. My latest vehicle has CarPlay and I'm loving it .... maps look great and functionality is much improved. I really feel like I can put the phone away in the car and use siri for everything ...
Small things like this are not really small at all .... the ability to keep people in the Apple universe even in their cars is very important. Once simple thing I can do with Siri and Apple music in the car is simply tell her what I want to listen to, Siri can't control spotify or Amazon music from my understanding. Sounds like a small thing but it's not ....
Cheers to the longs.

holy moly sponge... are you trying to set records for fastest way to lose money? buy puts on friday and sell at loss monday morning? ...may i suggest vegas?
flip-flopping to calls probably won't help either... especially if they're out of the money weeklies... i mean you could get lucky here (lots of us would make $$$ in the process) but it could just as easily go back down on another analyst downgrade or trade war anxiety...
i suggest you get out while you're ahead or at least set a target and stop loss in mind... despite your usefulness as a contrarian indicator, i'm feeling bad for you to have these losses when you could have been making money...

With all the nice upgrade features in the iPhone 11, I think 5G support for next cycle is enough to bring in the next wave of upgraders, and save new feature/upgrade until 2021 (notchless, folding, battery, 4S case design).

There are 4 factors that will limit upgrades regardless of how great 5G is.
Price Number of switchers have dropped Number of first time smartphone owners have dropped The iPhones have been very well build so you can hang on to for 4 years And lastly 5G won’t be available in enough areas here in US or the world to spur massive upgrades

Perhaps it’s because AAPL has been so good to us that we can afford multiple devices (iMac, 2 iPhones, 2 iPads), but I have no interest in a foldable device. I also have a hard time seeing what the “right” size would be - double the iPhone size would be a smallish tablet, and half of an iPad would be a clumsy phone, even for me and I am a big guy at 6’ 6”.
Other opinions?

Other opinions? I have NO interest in foldable phones either, to me it seems like a solution looking for a problem. My current phone fits in my pocket just fine and is plenty of screen space for doing almost anything. Nigel says it best .... www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHGJEdjCoeU

question mark is appropriate... remember it went above $226 on sept 12th (i closed one of my swing trades) and seemed strong enough to clear $230, but faltered (i was reloading just above $217 the next day ...i think it was the goldman downgrade, you can check the daily thread from the 13th)
imho at this point a proper whee isn't warranted until $230 clears convincingly... granted, just one more day like today would get there
also, remember that due to buybacks the ath by market cap (1.1t) is actually higher... some 10% up from here near $245

I can't say it's perfect as certain artists are hard to find using voice recognition but eventually it works ... sometimes seamlessly. Support the home team !!!! Cheers to the longs.

I have rarely bought puts and can't recall if I ever made any money on them. I have however, and continue to do so, sell puts (and calls) on AAPL and other holdings and usually make money with them. Occasionally I have to buy shares at a price I like (or sell at a price I like for calls), but typically just pocket the premium. I make about as much each year doing this as I do in dividends. These are usually pretty small trades with expirations about 1 - 2 months out, so not really betting the farm. Works for me, but YMMV. DYODD.

MACD is about to switch to bullish. RSI still has room to go before hitting 70.
Today was a good day for bulls but without significant volume we will hit serious resistance in the 228 range. If Trump can work out a deal, then ATH is not out of the question.
My calls more then made up for losses and if we hit 228 I will make 400%. Just wish I had the guts to go all in, but my rules are that I can only do that with puts when we hit RSI of 70 or higher and with calls when RSI is 30 or lower.

I have had Apple Music for a long time and it works perfectly with Apple Car Play. Amazon Music is what they call Hi Def music and it sounds better than Apple Music. I would have dropped Apple Music last year when I first signed up to Tidal but my family uses Apple Music. I have an excellent sound system in my house and I cringe when my daughter listens to Apple Music. The music from Tidal, Qobuz and Amazon is so much better. My question is why can't Apple stream compression free music instead of their highly compressed files

You think JP Morgan or anyone else is gonna look foolish, that’s pretty rich......and the “smart money” is getting out of the stock. Just by looking at the action lately, I’d say the smart money is in the stock, enjoying all the recent gains and all the whiners are on the sidelines wishing it would go down. Huge numbers of iPhones and services subscriptions being sold all over the world 🌎, I love this stock!

I absolutely agree, Tidal is noticeably better than Apple. Haven't tried Amazon or the other you noted.

The music from Tidal, Qobuz and Amazon is so much better. My question is why can't Apple stream compression free music instead of their highly compressed files That's strange. As far as I know, Amazon Music not only streams compressed file streams, it also uses about the same bitrate as Apple Music: uk.amazonforum.com/forums/digital-content/amazon-music/494888-bitrate-of-amazon-music#c2…and: mashable.com/2015/06/12/apple-music-bit-rate/www.whathifi.com/apple/music/reviewFrom the last link: "We can confirm that the songs stored in Apple’s iCloud Library are 256kbps AAC (the same as iTunes downloads), but there’s no obvious way of telling how songs streamed in Apple Music differ over wi-fi or cellular. But Apple Music’s streamed songs sound clean, snappy and detailed. Compared with similar tracks on Spotify (which are 320kbps Ogg Vorbis streams), Apple’s have greater subtlety and more space around instruments. Dynamically, the sound is more fluid and exciting. Notes stop and start with punch, timing is good, and subtle shifts from quiet to loud are admirably handled." JP Morgan had a price target of 270 before earnings last year at this time.
2 months later we went from 233 to 146. Price targets are meaningless by WS analysts
