Remember to get out to vote today, in the other thread, for what you want to see here on the AAPLFinance board, and how to get there.
Just like voting for other things in life, take the time to think about it first a bit, though you should have already done that even for a surprise pop-vote.
Polls close tonight at midnight, on whatever timezone my mind decides it is still on.

Wow, sometimes I just don't feel in touch with things, or more likely feel that our location is just not a good representation.
My son just asked me about my iPhone. "Yours is an iPhone 11, right? All sorts of kids have them at school already"
This is at the public middle school. He then rattled off the names of 4 kids, all in his grade. His grade level is only something like 60-70 kids.
FWIW, while our town has some high end aspects, with a couple billionaires and median house close approaching $2M, there's a different mix of financial levels here than many expensive places.
Given my own off-hand expectations, including knowing a little about these kids over the years from school and soccer, financially I'm surprised (or not) that 3 of the 4 have them. OTOH, one was known to prize his wireless airpods. Obviously different people prioritize finances differently than I would.
But these are 7th graders, without their own income. Some apparently want to trade theirs in already, "to get the green screened one". That probably means the green colored one, and could very well be pining for the Pro. Looks like it's popular in this market segment, with over 6% of all the kids upgrading within the first month of availability! How 'bout those Apples!!!

Where has the Sponge been? I'm guessing AAPL's RSI needs to cool down a little bit. I'm ok with our lackluster performance thus far today compared to the major indices, considering our recent run.

An interesting note from one of the commenters on the above-mentioned PED column:
”Apple started manufacturing the iPhone SE in India from its factory near Bengaluru. Apple now plans to ramp-up its SE production as Foxconn relocates its manufacturing base from China to India’s two assembly sites in the southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.”

Yahoo has Apple Redesigns World’s Best-Selling Headphones With New Beats. ”The Solo Pro took more than three years of development but Wood said that the end result represents “dream headphones” for all the engineers who worked on it. Unconstrained by the limits of smaller manufacturers, Beats leveraged Apple’s scale to get primacy among suppliers, devised entirely new custom-made transducers just for the Solo Pro, and harnessed the talents of the same engineering teams that worked on the iPhone 11 Pro.” Sounds like the acquisition has leveraged the best of both companies. I’m not a big headphones user, so I’d like to hear from those who are.

I’m not a big headphones user, so I’d like to hear from those who are. I do a fair amount of long haul international air travel and have been looking for a good noise-cancelling pair of headphones. I was leaning toward the Sony offering, but after reading about the Solo Pro I may reconsider. Personally I wish Apple would lose the Beats branding since I can’t help but associate it with overpowering bass and cheap build quality. I realize this is no longer the case - I just can’t shake it. If I get my hands on a Solo Pro set I’ll post my impressions.

“Apple manufacturing partner Foxconn has begun manufacturing iPhone XR models at its facility in India, according to sources speaking with ET Telecom. Apple and Foxconn have reportedly been running tests over the past few weeks in order to get the factory ready to go online and that has now happened. The factory is said to be producing iPhone XR handsets, with iPhone 11 also to be added to the mix in the same facility, located near Chennai.” www.imore.com/iphone-xr-production-has-begun-india-iphone-11-next

Yep, my yahoo AAPL quote is showing up $10.70 after hours, anybody know why ? Looks like it's fixed. Would be interesting to know how the software could error like that. Perhaps picking up the erroneous figure from another after hours symbol that is actually up that amount?

Yahoo Finance weird print: Check out this screen shot from a couples minutes ago. It's like did Apple just announce the cure for cancer or something... Why do I feel if Apple did find the cure for cancer we'd surge up a whole $4.37 at open and then slowly fade to maybe plus $.72 by the close.
