WHERE ARE THE RESULTS! ? finance.yahoo.com/news/apple-reports-fourth-quarter-results-203000685.htmlServices Revenue Reaches All-Time High of $12.5 Billion EPS Sets New Fourth Quarter Record of $3.03 Apple® today announced financial results for its fiscal 2019 fourth quarter ended September 28, 2019. The Company posted quarterly revenue of $64 billion, an increase of 2 percent from the year-ago quarter, and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $3.03, up 4 percent. International sales accounted for 60 percent of the quarter’s revenue. “We concluded a groundbreaking fiscal 2019 with our highest Q4 revenue ever, fueled by accelerating growth from Services, Wearables and iPad,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “With customers and reviewers raving about the new generation of iPhones, today’s debut of new, noise-cancelling AirPods Pro, the hotly-anticipated arrival of Apple TV+ just two days away, and our best lineup of products and services ever, we’re very optimistic about what the holiday quarter has in store.” “Our strong business performance drove record Q4 EPS of $3.03 and record Q4 operating cash flow of $19.9 billion,” said Luca Maestri, Apple’s CFO. “We also returned over $21 billion to shareholders, including almost $18 billion in share repurchases and $3.5 billion in dividends and equivalents, as we continue on our path to reaching a net cash neutral position over time.” Apple is providing the following guidance for its fiscal 2020 first quarter: revenue between $85.5 billion and $89.5 billion gross margin between 37.5 percent and 38.5 percent operating expenses between $9.6 billion and $9.8 billion other income/(expense) of $200 million tax rate of approximately 16.5 percent

I was really hoping for a better guidance than $85.5B-$89.5B, with iPhone 11 flying off the shelves and all...

Guidance not being a bigger number might become the reason for a pullback.

Guidance not being a bigger number might become the reason for a pullback. Great! Hope it happens before dividends are paid mid-November.

Are they back to sandbagging the guide? Seems low - Not low - people should ignore Cybart with his unrealistic guide expectations

Yeah, average anal-ysts estimate for next quarter sits at 86B and change. So Apple's guided range tracks.

It’s nice owning a small part of the greatest company in the world! Agreed and it could end up being the greatest company of all time before it’s over. I love how they have weathered the China trade issues and the overall consistency of this company. Tim Cook and Apple employees deserve all the credit.

Street consensus on guidance was 86.8B. How is a range up to 89.5B sandbagging? Jeez Louise this dart throwing is beyond tedious. I had CNBC running in the background on Street Smart Edge. Anyway, CNBozoC had one guy saying the one thing that can hold AAPL back going forward is it already has a price premium.
P/E below the S&P 500 average is a price premium. Anyway another hedgie on CNBC said don't be surprised to see AAPL's price with a "3" in front of it next year.

Are the new pods comfortable, I find the old ones abuse my ears. I like them but if they were pliable they would be better.

Are the new pods comfortable, I find the old ones abuse my ears. I like them but if they were pliable they would be better. I'm wondering the same. I had to buy some little silicone covers for the original AirPods - it was the only way I could comfortably wear them. The covers made a big comfort difference but they interfere with the charging. So I'm eyeing the new Pro versions, and hoping maybe the comfort has been improved.

Gene Munster calling for a $350 target 1-1.5 years out, a "fair multiple" of 25, says it should be priced like Coca-Cola or P&G.

Covers for the pods, that is something I will look into. As an aside I hope some of you bought OLED as I suggested. That glass has a great future. I started following it when Samsung started putting it on their phones. They were just so much easier to see for me anyway than the iPhone. TV, cars, phones, whatever has LCD now that is their market.

Mine came today, and as a user of Airpods, i can only gush about how much better the Airpod Pros are, both in fit and the sound quality! I gave the airpods to my wife, and personally could not go back, the noise canceling is outstanding. I do think they could replace $5000.00 hearing aids. It is a little eery to hear both Tim and Lucas breaths, and pen drops, on these new Airpod Pros

Are hyoid serious about that replacing hearing aids? I have sine wave hearing normal for the low sounds and abnormal for the high. Hearing aids I try sound like AM radio and drive me nuts, a short drive. If these can cut out ambient noise I might do fine with them instead of hearing aids I need only with soft voices or in crowded places.

The difference between transparancy mode and noise canceling is dramatic.

Just wondering what Rod Hall is thinking... My guess is he’s thinking about how to drop coverage of AAPL without anyone noticing. That way he can avoid admitting how wrong he is.

Hopefully we see some additional upgrades tomorrow morning. I know a drop in price will allow the dividends to buy more shares, but the market gave us enough of those opportunities the last few quarters after earnings imo. I’m ready for the stock to rack up more ATH’s and establish a new trading range in the upper 200’s and beyond!

Why did AAPL report $3.03 EPS when I predicted $2.95? .
Luca added $200M more other income and the tax rate was a full 100 basis points lower than what I used. Watch OPEX, Tax Rate and Other Income for where Luca keeps his "earnings stash" to avoid a replay of FQ1 2019. . My guidance was 87 - 89.5B (actual 86 - 89.5), which was not "weak" as Cybart posted over at Apple 3.0.
