Brought the dip too. Jan 2015s @ 850. Last few trades of the day were mine. Me too, 28-Sep 690. Now, will yesterday's OI trend hold with the wall at 700, or will they give up that and let it up a notch after this week's struggle to pin??? I'll be checking that first thing...

Here in NYC (Chelsea area), the Verizon store had no lines around 3pm EST and plenty of iphone 5s in stock. I passed another VZ store in midtown around that time and the sales guys were outside trying to get customers to go inside. My theory is not as many people are leaving AT&T for VZ as people originally thought and since VZ subscribers bought iPhone4S's they were not eligible for upgrades and will wait for the iPhone6.

Any news out from the West Coast on Judge Koh announcing any damages on the case? I thought today was the day we were suppose to hear something, no?

Received my iPhone 5 this morning at 9:45 PST. All I can say is - WOW. Timed booting up MacDailyNews via Safari on my iPhone 4. I chose MDN because their site is so slow to load.
Then I opened the site using the iPhone 5. WOW. This thing is faster than my 2.4Ghz MacBook Pro.
I can't wait until the next iPad comes loaded with this processor/chip set.
Copycats or no, there is no competition for the iPhone 5.

Somehow you don't strike me as a person that is easy to impress -- and will call the bull when he sees it -- so I will take that as a ringing endorsement! Awesome! Can't wait to get mine!

Just saw a breaking news flash that Merrill pro had issues with calls, 10 million in losses. Yikes.
As for VZ stores having inentory. There are so many points of sale now it does not surprise me that some locations may have inventory. All those pics of lines around the world mean good sales.

So he is. I just read the post from last night for the first time. He's 95% cash. I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. I have to say, this disappointed me about Jason. On Wendesday I thought he put up a pretty good rationale for buying, specifically stating that he was buying Nov calls so that there were multiple catalysts between now and then, SHOULD ANYTHING HAPPEN. Then the next day, he sells almost as if in a panic ignoring what he said the day before. Did the climate really change that much in one day? I feel he's getting a little like me - buy hi, sell low due to emotions ;D I just subscribed this week, and that really surprised me. The idea that TA indicates we might soon be at an intermediate top, OK, that I can get. But the notion that yesterday's action indicated weakness??? I don't follow that; it sure looks like to me there's plenty of buyers trying to drive the stock price up, and a desperate effort to pin to the 700 calls--so get past this opex and I think it would go up a little without any announcement on Monday. Add in reports of massive sales on Monday, and hell no I wasn't going to sell out today. Of course, maybe the sales are not so massive, because supplies are more constrained than I expect, and that could break the run and start a pullback--so I hedged a bit, but I bought yesterday morning at the dip, and this afternoon at (the very beginning of) the dip. Well, come Monday, we shall see...

Mighty impressive news, Gregg. I never thought I'd hear those words, comparing an iPhone to a MacBook.

Wow, I love what Andy Zaky posted at 2 this afternoon:
And just an hour later:
Understand, his normal style is lots and lots of TA, numbers, charts, FA, overall market analysis etc--not gushing about a phone. In fact, as he says:

DAMN THE MAPS, FULL SPEED AHEAD
...is how most will react to iPhone 5, I bet. Can't wait to see if it really does feel like the iPhone Air so many are raving about.

No, excuse me. When would you predict the sell-out to happen? Day one? Two? One week? They clearly hold the lion's share of supply and only provide minimal stock to other vendors. One non-Apple store said they received 30 total phones. I don't doubt Apple B&M stores will sell out at some point. Question is...when will that be? And is it supply or demand or a bit of both? As Horace Dediu says, "inventory is evil." Any news out from the West Coast on Judge Koh announcing any damages on the case? I thought today was the day we were suppose to hear something, no? Hearing was scheduled for today. Unlikely that an order would be issued the same day on something this major.

Mav, put on some 695/700/705s after lunch and picked up about 45% in little over an hour on the beginning of the dip. Bailed too soon, would've turned into almost a double. Those EOs!
Hope we get a nice bump Monday. Added some Jan13 BCSs today.

Nice! One of those days, I'll try catching butterflies again.
Question: How is what you did NOT like a day trade?
Or do you day trade and you just don't care? I can't stand those funds restrictions...FINRA day trader status is downright hostile to options traders IMHO.

My brokerage made it stupid to be an options day trader, so I'll stay out.
Even though I probably left a double on table today. Gotta play within my limits.
