Wow.
Problem is, the move's already happened, right? (For those who had been looking to short. Me, I don't follow GS, not enough mental bandwidth.)

AMZN closed below the SMA100. Plenty of room to get a good short in still IMO.

Thinking of rolling the dice again with AMZN, maybe a smaller bet with a conservative stop.
But NFLX actually looks more "appealing" (from a downtrend waiting to happen standpoint, vs. AMZN which is sort of in downtrend now) even though there's a chance it's forming one heck of a bull flag.

GS ONE-HOUR CHART: Timber!!!!!!!!!! I saw five waves down ... as Mav said, move already happened ... entering now may be the sucker to do short-covering.

I thought about a NFLX short today, but pulled the trigger on BBRY puts instead. Looking great so far. Earnings next Thursday.

Wow! The BBRY dropped 7% after I bought my puts today. 35% gain on the puts. Only a $500 gain though, since AAPL calls have left me little money to trade with.

Ahem! Not EW thread! Translation please! Oopsie! LOL! Sorry, bud! Translation: look for an oversold, counter-trend bounce in GS, the same we saw with the fruit at 594, 555, 515, 486... GS lost the daily SMA-50 (149-ish). Remember when we did that? The down wasn't over for us, if they can't reclaim it fairly soon, I doubt it's over for GS. Daily SMA-100 is around 135-ish. Weekly EMA-21 is around 139-ish.

HPQ looks interesting for a "short" bet.
Not sure about AMZN and NFLX at this point.

Mav, did you watch Redler today re: HPQ? Poor guy. Though I always like that he candidly admits his foibles.
GS looks poised to drop again, if the oversold bounce has finished (looked like it end of day, will have to see tomorrow).
My short list Short List (watch for good set up):
AMZN (ditto above on GS) GOOG LNKD PCLN MA GS MS GLD (would like to see a tiny bit more up on neg div)
And I know this isn't the EW thread, but Back-of-Napkin EW takeaway as a plug-in for timing: wave 3 is big and obvious (waterfall or geyser), wave 4 is often a smooshie, and wave 5 is continuation with clear divergences.

Ouch on HPQ.
We'll see about GS.
AMZN and GOOG in particular look interesting. Not sure where the momentum is supposed to be with GOOG. Having a tough go around mid-channel on the BBs. Maybe I'll try a learning/small trade if I can time it around a potential failed bounce. Needs relative weakness too - not the case today.

Mav, or look for a smooshie to break down in continuation. Short on break of smooshie trendline.

Oh yeah, the momo in reverse play. Yup, I can keep an eye out for 805ish to break too.

Still like AMZN as a short. Closed below the daily SMA100 again yesterday. Hopefully it stays below this time.
Have to get out before earnings though.

I swear, every time I say something about AMZN I jinx it. Looks like three waves up from 252 though.

I swear, every time I say something about AMZN I jinx it. Looks like three waves up from 252 though. Dude, take some profits on the next drop! Smooshed between EMA-13 (above) and SMA-100 (below) on the daily. Retraced 38.2% of the drop from 277.40.

I day traded puts on GS this morning. There is something very satisfying about shorting GS. ;D

So AMZN is rangebound now? Sheesh. No active plans to buy puts. Looking to see if AMZN gets to 270.
With NFLX, all it takes is an upgrade to go back up 5% or so? Nope, perfectly efficient market, supply and demand at work, etc.
It's "nice" that AAPL had some gap down company today with GOOG. While YHOO was unchanged and some other tech stocks did fine. Confusing days.

Did I miss the train on GOOG? Hmm...H&S may be triggering. I guess there's always the riskier momo option, though I would prefer to get in if GOOG fails to reclaim 800 or something.

See GS now.
Objective TA read: Hidden bearish divergence on 1H. Retested resistance at daily EMA-13. Teeniest tiniest smidge of a bearish cross on the weekly MACD-h.
Subjective EW read: After this Wave 4 sideways shuffle, it's got another Wave 5 drop coming.

Btw, GOOG wasn't just me thinking out loud. Feel free to comment or criticize. ;D Testing daily SMA/EMA-50 area. First test of support / resistance usually holds. Bullish divergence on 4H. Lack of bullish divergence on 1H makes me suspect lows aren't in, but mixed signals would keep me on the sidelines on this one a bit longer.
