I think people should be aware that there is competition out there, but at the same time, not let the FEAR of competition cloud their assessment of the quality of that competition. I have yet to see a single report that Samsung has something people want more than the iPhone 4S or 5. I would say a significant number of people want larger displays +1000. But all of you know how I feel about this already.

@marketcurrents: Chinese Q1 GDP growth disappoints, rising 7.7% Y/Y vs. 8% expected, and slowing from 7.9% Perception is everything. Can you imagine US GDP growth slowing from 7.9% to 7.7%, and it getting negative press? China is the world's 2nd largest economy, soon to become the largest, and the press is painting Chinese GDP growth as a disappointment. Maybe the economists (like WS analysts, never a group to agree on anything) got it wrong. I'd be doing backwards cartwheels if the US (or the EU for that matter) hit 2% growth.
