AH 683.60 with a high of 683.75...closed for the night. It was a good day. And now I get to watch some football with REAL refs...doesn't get any better! And a chance to watch one of Rutgers finest, Ray Rice. Great kid.

Not real happy that AAPL is at the top of the list for selling on strength. Why do you care? AAPL went up a lot. Nothing else matters.

Anyone trying out Siri in Cantonese for Hong Kong? It's worse than the English version, by far. Cantonese has many informal words that makes Siri understand very little unscripted inquiries.

Chas, playing Bali Hai in a couple of weeks, along with Royal Links. Hopefully the wind will be a little calmer this time. ;D Good for you, jealous. Would love to be there. I'm off to a week of golf with 16 guys in the hills of Tennessee this weekend. Can't wait. Glad to see you get some green today. I know that sick feeling when things start to get away.

M'Kay, I'm going to have to weasel a little here. If this were Friday 30 minutes before close, I'd say 680-684.99. But it really is very close between 670-684.99, so that's it, a $14.99 range for you. Strike | Calls | Puts | 665 | 5,848 | 11,550 | 670 | 10,095 | 16,175 | 675 | 11,254 | 11,019 | 680 | 11,318 | 11,376 | 685 | 12,687 | 8,114 |
Of course, should Apple have some sort of announcement tomorrow...

I do not know why people think Apple is going to say anything about iphone sales tomorrow. The quarter ends Saturday, new countries launch tomorrow, what else? After the debacle Monday I hope Apple does not say anything. JD, If we close at 675 tomorrow that would be really, really bad. (IMO) AAPL has momentum, without some kind of follow through it will be the Titanic. Just the way I am looking at it.

RIMM up 20% AH on earnings, lololol Hope no one here made any earnings bets to the downside. When stock prices get that low, anything can happen. I sold the puts I bought 6 months ago last week!

Same here. You know you're leveraged when your portfolio moves 15% in one day, on AAPL moving "just" 2.5% We should have a thread for that:
"You know you're leveraged when..."Totally. Make it sticky, so people can post and remember how they felt when the stock was soaring (cue lovemyipad's "wheeeeeeeeee!!!"), and when it was down in the dumps (cue someone else's "every time I buy the f'n dip, it keeps going f'n lower!"). I've found that having a "journal" of those, along with the price action that day, helps keep things in perspective on extremely bad days, as well as exceedingly good ones.

Bullish Cross "Apple v. Google: Why Only an F’ing Idiot would Recommend Google over Apple" stks.co/eBDfThis is a great read that I've forwarded to friends and family who are invested in AAPL. OK, even some that are NOT invested in AAPL. After I read it, it occurred to me that perhaps JD's been giving Zaky tips about introducing real passion and humor into his writing. If that's the case, good job, JD!! I think your tips paid off.

If that's the case, good job, JD!! I think your tips paid off. Andy Zaky doesn't need my help being a passionate advocate of AAPL. But if he'd like to give me a passion discount on his newsletter, I'd take it. Andy is so right; Jim Cramer is a reckless idjut for his AAPL call this week, and I let him know it with some real zingers (and he responded). Cramer cost some people a lot of money with his bullshit, and good for Andy to call him out. The math is simple: Google makes all its money on search, PC's are dying, and Google has yet to prove it can really monetize Android, and seems to be going backwards in its mobile presence. Watching Google and all it's forked Android "partners" eat each other will be fun. Meanwhile, Apple is growing near 100% YoY and dominating profits in mobile. I only wish a guy like Zaky could get on CNBC and do some real damage - like a Pit Bull in a rabbit bunny pen.

Just a word of caution here.
On April 17th we experienced a similar reversal as yesterdays. And it was followed by 5 down days. Does not need to happen, since we did not reclaim the 21day MA back then, but just be aware of that.

By the way, as far as I could tell the estimated delivery time in all of the countries in the second wave is at 3-4 weeks.

A "fun" experiment for tomorrow. Wish me luck, if you like. That's right, Chas, it's Ooooh, how exciting! I'll be busy most of the day and won't be around to watch that closely. May the force (of a dull Friday) be with you young Jedi!
