iPhone + iPad are already quite enough. Add the living room and wearables (which if launched could end Google Glass before it really even starts), and sentiment should be fine.

Looks like Larry is currently not on the Board, true...but he was on the Board at one time though. He's still annoying to have phrased things the way he did but he's entitled to his opinion. By the way - I don't know if anyone else here watched it but he also said that Isaacson didn't get SJ right and it was probably because he didn't like Jobs. After the whole interview I was thinking to myself - Geez - you don't know WTF to believe anymore. Everyone spins things the way they want and time re-writes every line. The best Apple story will be written in 2020, looking back at SJ with less idolatry and at what Apple became after his influence waned. A first look back in about 2016 ... +1 - Very true. Likely comparable to Disney, Ford or Edison - great men with great ideas and with great character flaws to match, who nevertheless built great companies.

Kahney has possibly done more than any writer to perpetuate the harmful myth that Apple is only successful because it somehow turns people into 'cultists', rather than the simple reality that Apple's success is based on how good their products are. I doubt he has much access to inside sources in Apple, especially about the notoriously secretive Ive, and I expect this book will just be a bunch of speculation based on Kahney's own blinkered view of Apple.

Heck if I know to both. ;D Still bullish, but a bit nervous. At least my "day trade counter" should've reset by now, so I can make quick adjustments if I need to (not that having that ability will necessarily help in the market's higher-volatility state)

Was out having breakfast with the hubby and there were two newspapers on the counter. A Daily News and a New York Post. My husband started looking at the sports section in the Daily News so I peeked into the NY Post. As I turned the pages I was reminded of how entertaining that newspaper is....stories are over the top in many instances. HOWEVER, they had a 2-page business section and I ventured to check it out. I damn near died. It was an interview with none other than Doug Kass of Seabreeze who was castigating Twitter (he no longer tweets because he felt too many people were attacking him - I guess he takes no responsibility in how incendiary his tweets are) - and castigating CNBC (where he often appeared in the past to complain about how parabolic AAPL was over the course of several hundred points). Kass said in the article that he was "irked" that Scott Wapner would interview Leon Cooperman of Omega about his AAPL position and that he couldn't believe that Icahn got so much press on his position. Kass was ranting (are you ready for this?) that these guys use tweets and CNBC to talk up their positions and thinks the business media should be "advising" viewers better. First of all - Kass will bad-mouth Twitter now that he has this ongoing feud with them. Secondly, can anyone remember as distinctly as I can how he would use Twitter and CNBC to tout his positions? He often disparaged the entire run in AAPL --- then claimed to short it at the top and when the stock would temporarily change course and blip up a bit, he would post a while later that he had seen that little reversal coming and had covered his position. I just can't believe the hypocrisy this guy spews. And lastly, he needs his head examined if he thinks that TV personalities are qualified to give financial advice to the viewers. I just couldn't believe the whole article - what BS! But it did make me laugh...was quite the Sunday breakfast! Unreal.

Doug Kass is either an idiot or has a blind spot bigger than Stevie Wonder's.
If there was any commentator who should have been investigated by the SEC over stock manipulation using tweets, Doug Kass is Exhibit 1, 2 and 3.
I'm sure he's really green with envy that Carl Icahn is a giant next to Kass the pipsqueak.

braille is used by the partially sighted as well as many other "tools".
I would guess there are more partially sighted folks than completely blind ones...and the iPad, by the way, serves the partially sighted very well. iPads are kind of standard issue to kids in programs with vision issues.

My favorite part of the FaceTime commercial is someone signing. I'd love to see a whole commercial highlighting how iPads and iPhones are used by the disabled.

I'm sure he's really green with envy that Carl Icahn is a giant next to Kass the pipsqueak. He left twitter over being challenged by Keith McCoughlah (sp?) asking him to time stamp his calls. Felt he was full of shit. Shortly thereafter he left. Keith has been pretty bullish on our monster run while Kass continually was bearish.

Agree. People are severely underestimating Apple and the applications for this. Health/fitness barely scratches the surface.

The iPad 5 is definitely going to rekindle interest lost to the mini, with its svelte packaging. I'll pass on the mini, however, as the full keyboard and lighter weight of iPad 5 will make it the perfect tablet. The gold iPhone can be a hit. The parts leaked earlier suggest a champagne color, not the garish yellow gold that is turning many off. Gold looks good with red, Red, consistent with your metrosexual persona....

Clayton Morris on This Week in Tech is reporting that the fingerprint sensor has been confirmed by his sources. Don't shoot the messenger-- I am only repeating what he said. You can watch the clip on YouTube here: This Week in Tech segment on YouTube (about 1 minute and 30 seconds long) He says the sensor will be integrated into the home button, the home button will retain it's concave shape, and there will be silver ring around the home button.
