64G white and 64G black. Have no idea how Rogers per-order numbering system will relate to when I get them but I'm position 536 for the white and 1806 for the black. Decided these numbers have to be Canada-wide and not store specific. Otherwise, doing a back of the envelope calculation, Rogers had over 2 million pre-orders. Not likely.
The numbers seem low for Canada-wide, but it wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people don't know about this pre-order system. At the time of my orders, I'm calculating that they had roughly 10,000 preorders for all phone models.

16G Black for mom, a first time iPhone user I've got a 4S so I'm staying put for now. Interestingly, if Apple had made the panorama feature an exclusive to the 5 I might have thought about upgrading, as the existing panorama apps (Photosynth, 360), all suck. As a consumer I'm glad they didn't though.

Over the weekend I've also seen news posts that indicate unlocked iPhones may only be available in Canada via the online store and not on Sept 21 at the Apple retail stores. So my point is that hopefully Canada's iPhone numbers don't disappoint

I ordered a black 32G model from the Apple store at 12:15 Pacific Time, confirmation email said I'll receive it 9-21.

I WANT ONE!
I don't know I'll be able to resist when I get early upgrade eligibility in a little while, price be damned (though of course I can also sell my 4S).
Another Apple home run? Yeah, I think so.

If true, nice to see we've re-captured the title of fastest mobile phone available. This is going to be a very nice upgrade from my iPhone 4. MacRumors

Geekbench means nothing in terms of how hardware and software mesh together. It's not bad as a hint of raw potential, though.
I don't care if iPhone 5 is the fastest benchmarker. Does it benchmark a lot better than the previous iPhone? Is it fast enough for my needs and demands and does the battery life not suck (at least, is it significantly better than the 4S) given a nice increase in performance from the 4S? That's what I wanna know.

If it allows me to use the Podcast app without extreme frustration (HELLO Apple!), I'll be a very happy camper.

In for a black 32GB for myself and a black 16GB for my wife. Pre-ordered through Verizon's website at 8am Eastern time, as I did not care for staying up until 3am. Still got a 9/21 delivery date.

The only pain points (aside from the price, obviously ) are the need for a couple new Lightning cables, maybe a new Lightning-compatible accessory or two. Hard for me to fathom, but I think I might actually consider selling my iPad so I can have next year's iPad with common connectors. Well, that and the next iPad will be a friggin' performance monster.

FWIW, the price for an unlocked iPhone 5 in Canada rose $40 (from $659 for the 4 and the 4S) to $699. And I can tell you that during the past year, the CAD did NOT fall against the USD to result in that significant of a price increase.

I'm not one for conspiracy theories in general, but it seems to me that in the aftermath of the iPhone 5 launch, the online comments to various media stories are running extremely anti-Apple and pro-Android. This is nothing new, of course, but by my own barometer, there seems to be an entirely new level of trollish posts that specifically tout the GalaxyIII.
I would not be surprised if Samsung has some dark ops underway.

Ordered my 32g Black today from VZ. AT&T made me so mad I decided to switch. I have the grandfathered unlimited plan which will be hard to give up along with the multi-function, but AT&T can KMA.

I _was_ thinking about bailing on AT&T, but the new 5GB cap w/LTE for 3G-era "unlimited" data plans (no FaceTime or wireless hotspot AFAIK, though) and the simultaneous talk/Internet access are making me reconsider...

I had the same thoughts. In the end, I went with ATT even though they have yet to roll out 4g here (but promise it by end of year). Grand-fathered unlimited data is pretty sticky.

Well, not really. 3GB for 3G/"4G" can actually be hit without trying too hard. But 5GB for LTE isn't bad.

Well, compared to the competition, for me, the ATT grand-fathered plan is best. I've only hit 3GB once since 2007. 5gb will probably do me. The shared plans that are the alternative do not appeal. If I travelled more, I would probably switch to verizon.

I've read that it's very easy to lose the Verizon $30 unlimited plan if you order online. Looks like it's the queue for me. :-(

64GB and 32GB unlocked for us.
I'm going to use this iteration to see if the unlocked option is worth it (for moderate travel and higher resale value).
