Progress of a kind.
My WAG, next month's earnings report should be a good one.

I've been reading some discussion about whether or not the China Mobile deal is "priced into" the stock. Of course it has, but only matching the degree of certainty, and with an uncertain understanding of the repercussions of the deal. Estimates on the effect on EPS are all over the board. So the effect of the deal being priced into the stock is a moving equation, not a one off news event that can be fully priced in on release of the rumor. Mav's last post in the intraday was an important one, showing that denials from Apple's impending new carriers are standard operating procedure. China Mobile is supposed to deny the deal until the deal is formally announced. That's the way it works, as Mav's research and article citations brilliantly prove. Here's a copy of Mav's post. "China Mobile should deny there's a deal right on up until mid-December... Just-in-time inventory, just-in-time partnerships. Like for iTunes Radio. allthingsd.com/20130607/apple-signs-sony-publishing-up-for-iradio-too/And DoCoMo (two weeks before DoCoMo launch). www.macrumors.com/2013/08/26/ntt-.... pple-in-japan/ And Verizon (the announcement was January 11). www.macrumors.com/2011/01/07/verizon-iphone-to-launch-february-3rd/The big takeaways - talks are ongoing. ("No seriously guys, Dom Perignon? Or something more casual like Tsingtao? Maybe Tsingtao is overhyped - ANTARKTIK, then? Don't rush this, we've got until December 17 to decide on that final contract term.") Matter of when, more than ever. Irrelevant to Apple's iPhone numbers short-term because supply/demand balance is still some ways off, to say nothing of channel inventory."

Red, in case you haven't seen this (second part is a plug for the uploader's coming game, but hey, you can easily skip that, and you could say he's earned it): www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiSn2JuDQScTrekkie-haters need not apply.

iPad Air supply apparently continuing to improve - now all models ship within 3-5 biz days per the Apple online store. Not sure exactly when that happened, but it's an improvement from the previous 5-7 days. store.apple.com/us/buy-ipad/ipad-air

No surprise, but good confirmation:
"IBM reports that iOS is far outpacing Android when it comes to traffic and online sales. The company calculates that iOS traffic reached 22.4% of all online traffic, compared to 9.1% for Android. In terms of sales, IBM estimates that iOS represented 14.5% of all online sales versus 2.6% for Android during Cyber Monday, Black Friday, and Thanksgiving"

Link?
IIRC this is IBM's second survey on this general topic in two years. I expect Tim to bring that up next time he's interviewed.
Android is supposed to hyperconnect people to Web/Google services and yet iOS has more Web/e-commerce usage. And that latest comScore US report shows that Samsung was the only reason Android made any gains at all. Once December data shows up things will really get interesting.

Thanks Mav Brilliant acting..tuneful... Charming "Brilliant acting" LOL. Tuneful? That's just wrong. That video should be retitled: Captain Picard drops acid Jealousy does not suit you. Picard not only beautifully enunciates each syllable, but changes clothes a dozen times. I don't think your hero Johnny Carson could match that... The man is a knight! On to Apple......the 4k monitors are off the European Apple Store web pages....China Mobile is playing coy, and the test order site is down too....what is with all these leaks, coyness and denials and refusal to move to the next step.....Feels like my third Prom night.

Props to Artman for cautioning against unofficial CM reports on Monday. Next week? Who knows. I still think this can be a December to remember for AAPL.
Has anyone seen Red at the same time with Picard? These two are doubles, except Red has a fetish for Asian ladies.

All heroic ladies, even Jennifer Lawrence, find the captain charming and irresistible. I could have helped her with that Hunger Games business.....a few phasers would have evened the odds.... Apple will flit around the 550-570 area until we get nearer December 18, but all news remains highly positive....

More apps than most people will ever need...but nice to know that they're there. I wonder what's "critical mass" for a platform of Apple's or Android's size. 100k? 250k? 500k? Who knows. It's like the size of Apple's music catalog...more like a bullet point than a selling point because it's so comprehensive. The more interesting number in the news post is 500k or so iPad-optimized apps. As of October, ever-transparent Google says..."thousands". www.theverge.com/google/2013/10/13/4834482/google-play-store-will-be-redesigned-to-showcase-apps-for-android

I think it is a really big deal. Why? Because it shows with amazing clarity how great the iPhone 5S camera is, and how terrible modern country music is.

It's old news that iPhone 5s takes excellent video, and I'll bite my tongue regarding country music, modern and otherwise.
