Is this like that time with two forum members really getting into it over a giant misunderstanding, neither of whom post here anymore? :/ We've got enough drama as it is. Here's hoping this is more joking than war. Or something. My advisory still stands Mercel, in case you stop by my blog. Post is gonna be chock full of half-assed suspicion. Kinda. ;D. So you were warned.  Mav, Mercel is a pain in the butt but someone has to put up with his rants. His therapist says I am mature enough to handle him. Tough job but someone has to do it. And how can there be too many Star Trek references? |

Oh Mav, it's just for giggles. Red and I are friends. You've been Trolololod. Well.... Not sure I would go so far as saying we are friends..,, I mean..,.one has to choose friends carefully. Max is a friend..Mav? Sure! But I've argued tommy times with Mercel about gross margins, Shu Qi and the right way to bake banana bread to consider him a CLOSE friend. (Cough) Apple should have a good week. Headwinds have been removed a bit and CM is still out there. Right Mercel, old buddy? Yes, like, the enemy of an enemy is a friend? I thought my star trek induced stupor would give my post away, but Mav hasn't yet had the pleasure of meeting me. ;D Hell, I thought Mav was trolling ME. Next week in AAPL. All the news is good. How long the spring stays coiled is anyone's guess. Early January is a more predictable time for stock climbing, at least in AAPL's case. (I looked at stock history for 2011- 2012, but Gregg does this more than anyone, I think) |

For the record I am starting to form the opinion that CM deal will come after earnings.
Why you ask?
Their 4G which they are promoting is only 4 days old. It needs more time.
Their CEO told the media for customers to remain patient and one must always wait for good things. I don't think he was referring to a few more days.
The promotion of iPhones on those sites is simply a way to keep their masses from leaving to other carriers. I think Apple will sell CM phones without an official all out deal. It is a compromise but one where Apple does not guarantee a quantity but provides some phones before the all out blitz.

The visual was that of a customer/reseller buying in excess of 100 iPhones (maybe more).

Mine had ample room to maneuver but sales were very brisk (iPad THE popular product this year). Then again, my Apple store is bigger than yours, by 30%? |

Yes, yes We all know everything about you is bigger. My store is very small by Apple standards and has a huge number of university folks. They try to monitor the crowd movement so it doesn't get to be a slog inside |

Curiously, I wasn't able to check out myself yesterday for an iPad cover -- first time failure (the staff said it was a new item and the UPC might be to blame). |

TC has intimated big doings in 2014 on several occasions. I don't know what they will be, and don't care. History tells us that Apple/AAPL will benefit greatly from these, and that's all I care about. I believe TC's comments. |
