After reading the following thread, if this site dies, I am never going back to AFB. I am a minor league poster compared to others here, but I refuse to patronize people who are arrogant enough to behave this way. Who do these people think they are? Long live AFB2. www.macobserver.com/tmo/forums/viewthread/85048/Totally concur, screw them. I've never liked the commentary on the main MacObserver site anyway.

I looked at TDAmeritrade and they have them listed, but with no bid/ask prices. The highest strike is 830

They are posting more at Braeburn Group as am I. Only stopping by, but won't post much here. You are all welcome to Braeburn Group and many of you are there already. Hey, there's more than one place to talk AAPL! Agreed. We analyze the company more there and not worry about the direction of the stock short term. Being a long term investor who only buys the stock or LEAPS, I find the discussions less stressful like here where most are day traders and short term options players.

As you know, I hold common, LEAPs AND shorter-term options, often all at once. One thing doesn't change - the core common holding.
I still intend to get fundamentals/earnings discussion going here, if this is where I end up spend most of my AAPL forum time. I sure wouldn't mind some Braeburn folks visiting here.

Intact Mercel is busting my butt because I don't see a Mini iPad. Red if you want to join the poor attempts to roast the Sponge, hang out there more often then you do already. Oh so its you about the Mini iPad at Braeburn. I sense some spray-on tan lotion for Sponge in a 6-10 weeks. No Mini iPad. We will correct when that Oct comes and goes without it. But it will be short and shallow. No worries. If we hit $800 in late Oct, the sponge will be getting a real tan in Hawaii come December, since $1000 will be waiting for us in January. Folks this iPhone 5 is huge and will carry us to new incredible highs in the next 8 months.

Wow, I just checked out those snide, defensive posts from Admin Bryan Chaffin and I gotta agree there's a basic problem there. Besides the lack of maturity in his responses and the fairly lame excuses, he professed to care about the AFB site and its members, but his inactions (and crappy attitude) speak much louder than his words. Viva the LoveMyiPad Board!

Tim Cook actually communicates with his investors. If there was no iPad mini coming, we would know it by now. Way too much on the positive side. It's coming..

Just one broader market note for this week (and then I *really* have to go to sleep...it's way past my bedtime!!)...
Keep in mind that when bears capitulate, there will be an order vacuum, so we could see prices whipsaw: up ---> flushing them out down ---> order vacuum

I see the bears giving it one more try this week. I think the smarter ones know to get the heck out of the way by Friday with the iPhone 5 launch if macro holds up. But I won't have much sympathy for them if they don't.

Would the stock get a mini-jump when the 2015 LEAPs get gobbled up? Or would it be better to hold off on 2015 LEAPs until next week?

This isn't advice.
But if I were thinking of buying LEAPs, I'd buy the Jan 14s, at least for now.

Hello everyone. This board is much better.
Btw, is there a "next page" button? I seem to have to hit the goto page button.

I do get more concerned with every dollar I make though.. my gains are getting kind of big *for me anyways* Im not going to like having to pay the government some of my gains at the start of next year, its going to be very painful. I hear ya. I owe the IRS over $150K already for the first 9 months. By January, assuming AAPL is over $700, the tax bill will add up to $400K. It's painful, yes (that's a new Ferrari!!!) But that means I'll be over 7 digits in profits for the year. Which I'm not going to complain about

Re-posted from "X-Trapnel" over at Sanity Just how panicked is Samsung? Pre-announces Galaxy 4 for February Looks like a great field test for the Osborne effect. By December expect Samsung to *pay* people to buy the G3. Announced size of screen: 5 inches. www.koreatimes.co.kr/www/news/tech/2012/09/133_120024.html

Asia mostly green, Europe most red, but only a little. US futures slightly read.
APPL up 2.72 with less than 1K shares traded.
