I like this comment there: "So now we are speculating not just about the date of product unveiling but about the date of announcing the date of product unveiling? Samsung and Google could only wish for such enthusiasm about their marketing." If the event is as speculated, it will be before October OE, making that week very, very interesting. And, you can bet your bottom dollar ( if anyone has such) that the rollout will be extra special just because Apple does not like nor take kindly to even the mini-mess of Maps. Can't wait!

I'm not a big fan of keeping excess money (dry powder) in the bank waiting for the opportune time to open up some option positions. Do any of you purchase common shares in the meantime only to sell the shares when you feel its a lucrative time to load up with options? Right or wrong, I do this.

What is going on - anybody??? Marissa Mayer CEO Yahoo just had a baby boy; possible successor and threat to Apple. The market tends to think ahead

An hour in....higher highs, higher lows...I'm not saying, I'm just saying. ....Followed by 3 hours of lower highs and lower lows....to end what I like to call amateur hour (aka the first 4 hours of market action on Monday's. I call it that because thats when most little guys who had a chance to think about their accounts over the weekend takes whatever action they decided on over said weekend.) Let's see where we go now...

I just executed my first BCS!
Jan '14 660/700 filled at $17.50
Any thoughts on this trade? Something else I should have looked at that I didn't?
If share price goes above 700 I would have a ROI of 128.57%
Any feedback is much appreciated. I'm excited to have entered my first option trade!

CNBC put something out right when the stock was plummeting about Android now having 40% of tablet-share and they seem to be on an upswing - I didn't catch the whole story I was busy but I looked at the stock and it was in a free fall. Anyone see/hear what that was all about?

Analysts underestimating iPhone 5 sales: Canaccord AnalystDARCY KEITH The Globe and Mail Published Monday, Oct. 01 2012, 2:32 PM EDT www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-investor/markets/market-blog/analysts-underestimating-iphone-5-sales-canaccord/article4579946/The shine has come off Apple Inc. shares since the tech darling reported iPhone 5 sales of five million units during its premier weekend, less than some on the Street had anticipated. But Canaccord Genuity analyst T. Michael Walkley, with fresh sales data in hand, is hardly disappointed. His September “channel checks” indicated very strong sales of the iPhone 5 at key U.S. carriers AT&T, Verizon and Sprint. The checks indicated the device sold well in international markets, too. And it's not just the latest version of the iPhone that's flying off store shelves, reported Mr. Walkley. There have been robust sales of the legacy iPhone 4 and 4S models, many of which are going for discounted prices. The 99-cent iPhone 4 at AT&T, for instance, is sold out at many stores and consumers are facing up to a week waiting time for shipments of the older model, he said. “Given these checks, combined with Apple’s plans for an aggressive iPhone 5 launch with 240 carriers in 100 countries by year end, we remain confident in our above-consensus December quarter iPhone estimates with sales of 40 million iPhone 5s and 50 million total iPhones,” Mr. Walkley said in a research note. Furthermore, “we expect additional countries to launch the iPhone 5 in early January, including all three carriers in China, ahead of Chinese New Year in February. With our expectation the world’s largest carrier, China Mobile, will launch its first iPhone on its network that also supports its TD-SCDMA 3G technology, we anticipate very strong iPhone sales of 47.5 million during the March quarter.” Upside: Mr. Walkley maintained a price target of $797 (U.S.). That’s modestly above the median target on the Street of $780, according to Thomon/First Call.

Here is a pretty good site for you to play with numbers and see where you'll be and by when. www.optionsprofitcalculator.com/thanks, I wanted to play it relatively safe for my first options play. I think the chances of aapl being above 700 in the next 15 months are very very high. Thanks for the options calculator site as well. I will play around with that this evening.

Maybe investors are worried about Apple's constantly declining dividend yield

They should raise the dividend, price the iPad mini cheaper or wow our socks off with SOMETHING - would be nice to be thrown a bone!

AAPL continues to act _relatively_ weak.
I'll just wait it out for now. No commitment on a hedge play.

I see one more down swing to 661-662 and then a bounce back to 670+. How so? Just a trader's guess. Now that the first part has came true I tripled down on my 680 weeklies. If the latter part of what I said comes true today, or even tomorrow, I shall make a few bucks from these weeklies.
