Aren't we going to spend our weekends analyzing all the rosy predictions of the amateurs, and suggesting that they may be too low?

Things must not be going so great at Samsung....and ain't that just too bad. Headline of the article linked below: Key Samsung executives depart from US business At least five high-ranking executives from Samsung’s US mobile business have left or have given their notice over the past two months, CNET has learned. cnet.co/1k9RwmX

Blah drink to match blah AAPL mood: Coors Light over the Smithwicks & Guinness in the fridge. Debating a new iPad Air vs MacBook Air 11". I hate the new pass code requirement for iCloud Keychain - never ran my devices with a pass code before (shhh) and yeah, pass codes suck. So until Touch ID comes to iPad, the 11" refurb is leading the pack. Apple has been smart here: drive users crazy for 9 months, then offer to save sanity with a shiny new upgrade.

I presume the mega-trip finished up some time ago? How'd it all go?

Maybe we should all go on a trip and come back in the fall. AAPL wants to be such a predictable company (ie earnings) but I'm missing the surprises and the "one more thing"...

Next spring I am eliminating my rationalizing who will win what games in my bracket. Instead, I'll just get a good dart board with a few sharp darts!

Is it just me that finds it weird that there are no apple store front displays at any apple retail outlet. Even the new one that just opened in Istanbul lacks a storefront display. So weird

Gotta imagine we are in no mans land till earnings which is scary since every time Tim speaks - the stock tanks.
Are there any good arguments here to hold any options at this point?!!?

Sure. If the stock tanks every time Tim speaks, hold some bear put spreads.

Doesn't it scare you guys that the top guys at apple were scrambling to figure out how to combat samsungs advertising - it's almost like they are afraid to do anything and play offense anymore.

Displays are back up at Apple retail, some generic iPad and iPhone stuff, probably serving as placeholders until the next product cycle, in 4-5 months. We'll probably get new MacBook Airs at WWDC, but it's not a catalyst.

A7 Apple TV would be a cinch to release by July if it's ready.
That's not a new product category "as imagined" but let's see Apple intro it first.

I think apple is eager to end this lawsuit because they are realizing that Samsung is winning the holy war on press. The value of Samsung being able to show to the press an email from Schiller saying Samsung is hitting them hard is priceless. Think about the damage that creates for negotiating with carriers from here. I bet Tim and others at the company basically said - lets end this Chaos and focus on our North Star of doing nothing

" 2. If your phone is physically damaged or presents signs of liquid damage, the phone will need to be replaced. If you have AppleCare +, you can replace it twice within the time frame for $79 plus tax. 3. If you do not have AppleCare +, you can replace it with a refurbished phone for a set cost." Last year my wife ruined her 4S when she got it wet and they gave her a brand new 4S for $200. I asked them specifically if it was refurbished and we were told that it was new and that Apple doesn't want customers having previously used phones.

Yeah, I should have mentioned Apple TV at WWDC, but it's hard to get excited how much that adds to revenue and profits at $99 a pop (or even $199 for a premium model).
