Used Apple Pay at McDonald drive thru. My phone worked faster then their machine. Needs to be close to it for it go thru. They say people are using it a lot inside.

Well, they're starting to figure it out. Amazon, on the other hand... JD, stop buying vaults via Amazon Prime just to return them. I wish I had enough valuables - like some members of this forum - for my safe to qualify as a "vault." I bled Amazon on free shipping & margins, but I didn't return it.

So how do we start Monday? If we come out of the gate and clear $109.50... Could be fun.
I'm surprised and pleased by the awareness of Apple Pay in the retail world. Game changing takes time, but this shift is coming on quick. And from now on every time, every darn time, there is a security breach and Two million people's data is sitting on a server in Bulgaria, the outcry will begin anew: "wouldn't have happened with Apple Pay" . "Why don't you ( Walmart, target, best buy) have a secure system for my information".
And, with the Sponge driving around the Country using Apple Pay at every location he can find, retail sales will be up for November, so we got that going for us...

I cannot possibly be the only person in creation that is doing this .... so I just don't get it?!

So I sold all my options and bought a bunch of shares. Feels kind of weird but I did so on margin so I can keep that addiction feeling going Going to start selling covered calls against it

On AT&T iPhone flat out dominated all smartphones given the limited data we had (not anymore :/) - probably better than 60% share, I think it was even higher sometimes. comScore is an installed base survey though. When that last bastion of "Android is winning" starts to crumble away - although the US market will surely be dismissed as "mature" or "less important" by then by some - it'll be interesting to see if perceptions change.
Apple will probably be selling too many iPhones to care much next year though.

One of the quotes. No wonder iOS first if true. "Just look at Bluetooth Low Energy—it’s been available on iOS since the iPhone 4S, and Android penetration is pathetic even today."

I think as soon as we start to see market share gains worldwide for iPhone vs Android, that's when we see a p/e of 19-20. I give it a good 16 months. I am really excited about iPhone sales in 1stQT2016.

Like I'm going to sign up for a service that links directly to my checking account, even one that's already been hacked. I cannot imagine Walmart drawing a line in the sand between debit cards & store branded cards on one side and VISA/AMEX/MC on the other. What morons, if they're serious. It's very likely that Walmart is negotiating, but they've got a very weak hand and everyone knows it.

It's very likely that Walmart is negotiating, but they've got a very weak hand and everyone knows it. I go to Walmart occasionally in my small town. Twice, I've tried to pay with an American Express card, and their software comes up and asks for a three-digit security code. But, of course, Amex has a four digit code. Am I the first person in history to try paying at Walmart with an American Express card? I wouldn't be surprised. In each case, I was at an impasse with the cash register, so I had to haul out my Visa card while the clerk and people in line behind me grew restless. Did I mention that I HATE Walmart? Aside from all that, their Apple display has looked vandalized for three years, with no iPads on the mounts in the case, and only an old iPhone in the iPhone case where there are supposed to be two.

Is anybody paying attention to Skyworks Solutions (SWKS). Good earnings and outlook... I don't do Apple suppliers. Even if they wear big boy pants. Skyworks, BTW, is right in the Irvine/NB area of SoCal. Typically, the bell rings at 6:30AM time, and the trading begins, and the stock flutters between up and down, until it starts heading some general direction. So here's the thing. I have Amazon Prime but my whole family (meaning those that don't live here as well) uses it under my account and we only pay one fee. I cannot possibly be the only person in creation that is doing this .... so I just don't get it?! AMZN's day of reckoning is coming, Phoebes. If this earnings season showed anything, it was that WS is getting tired of the bullshit, and wants real growth and guidance, even from Internet/tech companies. Just wait until Alibaba starts turning the screws. So I sold all my options and bought a bunch of shares. Feels kind of weird but I did so on margin so I can keep that addiction feeling going Going to start selling covered calls against it Nagrani is a boss. Always take note of what he is up to. It reminds me, I had this Poli Sci prof at UCLA. He once said of Henry Kissinger, "I don't always agree with what Kissinger says, but whenever he talks, listen."
