So now we're putting credence into supply chain entrails?

Perhaps it is the rise to an all time high, or maybe it was the astounding last quarter results, but I am feeling decidedly less curmudgeonly lately. As a result, I would like to take someone off ignore. Does anyone know how to to it?

If you haven't ignored, when you go to the member, there is a choice to "block member". but after you have ignored, there is not an "unblock" choice

Send them a gift. They'd appreciate it more.

So after boffo earnings solid guidance two weeks later we are...still under our all time highs
I think we break out imminently but man if this isn't some super frustrating price action
Lagging on the way up. And leading on the way down.

Not a believer in OPEX this week. Monthlies could restore my faith. My WAG is we can break $120 today and hold it. What did you say?

I hope you are right... But that female French Apple analyst, Dé·jà vu, is whispering in my ear to prepare emotionally for a late afternoon dive... Sounds like she's a pretty good Apple analyst. What's her twitter handle?

And this is why we take profits before Friday close.

I sure didn't think we would close below $119.

I'm surprised people are still buying weeklies. This tail wagging the dog nonsense is way past old.

And this is why we take profits before Friday close. Well, except for my 95 puts that I sold last week that are expiring today.

I'm hoping this "less curmudgeonly" feeling you're having is contagious and rapidly spreads to all the members, myself included.

I'm surprised people are still buying weeklies. This tail wagging the dog nonsense is way past old. Well, they just paid for my $3000 dog surgery this week, so wag away, tail! Spreads are pain-neutral anyway, since the strikes offset each other. And BTW, mine closed out around 10:40 ET, so don't blame me for that close! Blame Mark and his put selling. Don't fight the tape - or the market makers.

I'm surprised people are still buying weeklies. This tail wagging the dog nonsense is way past old. The Company (AAPL) can do something about disallowing weeklies - but they don't. You would think they would hire a small team to investigate these issues, report them to TC, and address them. I never understood why they allowed themselves to have their stock be treated this way. And please don't give me the crap that they don't look at their stock price. Like I've said before, it's the script they ALL read from on television but NONE are telling the truth. They know to the penny where the stock is. I am saying this from first hand experience.

JD: It's the Elaine Garzarelli thing: if you're right once, then you must be an oracle… She was right ONE damn time and you would think she was the Queen of WS market predictions. Louis Rukeyser must have had her on a million times. Ridic - could not agree with you more Ted!

As long as it goes up long-term, and commensurate to growth, that is their fiduciary duty and their main goal.

I sure didn't think we would close below $119. In the context of a 119 pin it makes a bizarre sort of sense. I...guess.

I do not think it is a coincidence that the Company with the HIGHEST open interest also has one of the lowest P/E ratios (particularly given its performance).
The weekly option B.S. acts like a tractor beam that prevents AAPL from going HIGHER. I'm convinced of it.
Most weekly call buyers place losing bets. Then again, if one didn't sell, there would be fewer buyers, too.

We all have different goals as investors. At my stage, I'm happy for AAPL to keep appreciating while remaining undervalued. Allows me to profit from the weeklies more easily and also accumulate my core position along the way. I understand those who feel differently. AAPL will one day be valued appropriately, don't worry. The cash generation and shareholder return pretty much guarantee it.
What I could do without are the 40% corrections, although they too provide an opportunity for huge returns if you have the stomach for it.

Weeklies aren't going away but monthlies were more than enough. All weeklies do is perpetuate volatility swings that have nothing to do with the underlying stock and everything to do with MMs and day traders for the most part. The exchanges love the fees and brokers love the commissions and that's what it is really all about. It sucks - but no one is shutting it down.

I'm not sure the tart tweets, but we all have the distinct feeling we've heard her theme song somewhere before: "Don't do that to me one more time ... once is more than enough with an algo like you."
