EU proposes extension for Greece. 6 months hinted. Futures on a tear. Can we get the close we need and sustain a multi week rally, finally?

Since84 - what am I missing? How do you accept Pay in flight (Jet Blue)? Are you allowed to turn your phones on and possibly interfere with pilot's frequency, flight path, and all else we're told it interfere's with?

Presumably Pay will work via WiFi as well as Cellular. Though a quick search turned up nothing either way.

Presumably Pay will work via WiFi as well as Cellular. Though a quick search turned up nothing either way. They’re accepting Apple Pay via iPad minis outfitted with NFC-enabled cases and a special in-house software called The Inflight Service Assistant. More than 3,500 units will be distributed to JetBlue’s inflight crew members. The NFC cases also accept traditional credit card purchases. Link

52 Week / ATH correct?! A close over the intraday prior high lets round it off to 120.50 would be a-ok.

If we break out this week we ping near there by options expiration of sooner I believe. Here's hoping.
It's trying. Grexit will be biggest question for markets...in short term.
Need SPX to break 2065.
Anyone see Caldero calling a WROC buy symbol? Interesting.

Not so sure. The NFC is how the iPhone transfers the token to the Point of Sale. I am under the impression that communication is also required to generate the token. Even if the token is generated entirely on the iPhone it still needs to be communicated to the card issuer to close the loop. I'm seeking clarification from a friend who is in payments processing.

Apple is on track to ship 310 to 320 million iOS devices in 2015 -- Asymco Horace's model continues to be spot on. Our favorite fruit company continues to sell all they can produce. Take it to the bank, baby!

In any event, airlines allow WiFi on flights now. So those payment terminals can be connected, just like they are on the ground. So technically, there is no material difference between a payment taking place in the air vs the ground.

Ben Reitzes from Barclays was just interviewed on CNBC. He was unbelievably bullish and says the free cash flow numbers from the earnings report justify a $150 pps.
I think WS is finally waking up to the fact that in addition to the products, ecosystem, customer base and everything else ... Apple also has a hoard of cash (Insert face palm) ..... and is making it faster than it can spend or distribute it.
Oh well, better late than never.
I smell another huge buyback as well as a nice dividend bump !
Cheers to the longs .... gonna be a great year !!!

USA Today Apple Pay takes to the skies via JetBlue. The article notes Wi-Fi is not required to use Apple Pay in the air, though wireless Internet is available on the plane. Still doesn't answer the question of how the iPhone generates the tokens and completes the loop to the card issuer.

Thanks Rob. Answered my question from yesterday. School me as well. Can Apple issue bonds in Europe, use the cash in the US for dividends, stock buybacks, etc. and then pay the bond back with EU cash without repatriating it? Would seem like a huge loophole if they could. here

Take it to the bank, baby! Let's not go overboard on this statement. Apple is only supply limited for iPhones in their first fiscal quarter. They do not sell as much as they can make for the other three quarters, and certainly not for iPads or Macs in any quarter (except something like the Mac Pro launch).. I'm a huge bull but false statements, positivr or negative, don't do anyone any good. 320 million is an incredible number though.

Keep in mind, in-flight card swipes without any data connection were possible for years. I'm not sure how the offline stuff works either, but hey.
