Oh boy, here comes iTax and iEBT. Color me extremely dubious that Apple will bring a car to market. Cars are magnitudes more complex than an iOS device, and for a perfectionist like Apple, it seems an insurmountable task. The R&D alone would be astronomical, starting from scratch. But I've learned not to speak authoritatively on things based on reason and opinion, rather than actual knowledge. FWIW, BMW's GM's are like 20%. But Porsche's GM's are like 50% in its high end models.

The next rumor we hear will be that there is a 'test track' in the basement of Apple Campus 2.

I don't care if it's a hovercraft made from Norwegian wood that runs on unicorn farts, so long as the margins are high and it sells and brings me yummy alpha.

BTW, now that PoS lying charlatan Sludgett is claiming he didn't sell Apple (Yahoo Finance link). Happy ATH week/day everyone! Macwire is a horrible influence and made me buy a bunch of Go To IPA last night despite my best sobriety intentions, so the bar is definitely open.

Gordon Murray, of Lotus and McClaren F1 fame designed a city car that would be a perfect entry into the auto market. Being Gordon Murray, he didn't stop at just the car, he designed the factory to build the car. I think it is called the T25 or T27. If I were Apple and thinking about iCars, I would certainly be talking to him

Perhaps Apple does not want to make the WHOLE car, but rather design an interior / dash / entertainment system that can be licensed out to car manufacturers? Developing a whole car company seems daunting.

Did anyone else cringe when Tim Cook announced the Federal government is going to use Pay at the Whitehouse Security conference?
Let's hope there was no horse trading involved...

10% of those unicorns were still working more than 49 hours a week and not getting at least one day off per work week. Jeff Williams and Co. still have work to do.
