What happens to AAPL if Trump wins? The man wants to build a wall on the border. Do the math and you'll realize that it would take approximately the total amount of current U.S. Cement production to create. Add in rebar, lighting, etc. and the fact that there are very few roads along the border so we would have to create a crap ton of new ones (we can barely maintain the existing ones). Kind of shoots a hole in the "I'm a businessman and am smarter than everyone else" meme. So, I'd sell every share to answer your question. BTFD (notice how know one really says that anymore?) Some great earler posts re: the market. Just remarked to my wife this morning that it's next to impossible to invest anymore. Don't panic, that's what they want us to do. After the Fed does it's thing on the 17th, this China FUD will be a yawn. Word.

What happens to AAPL if Trump wins? I hope nobody takes this as a politic statement, but I can't even listen to Trump on TV. Trump could be the best candidate ever in the history of the U.S. But he needs to either get a real haircut, a good toupee or hair implants, whatever he has on his head just distracts me way too much. If I met him I have a real fear I would spontaneously break out in uncontrollable laughter. I apologize in advance to Trump.

Ha, finally we found a shovel-ready Keynesian make-work infrastructure project the lefty doesn't want to blow money on! Suddenly you care about spending, LOL! We could easily build a border fence and put our military down there like very other country including Mexico does. AAPL would pop because Trump would finally bring some pro-business, pro-growth policies, unlike hate-business and hate the investor class Obama. Imagine the tax reform cuts business and investors could get with a Republican congress and Trump. Just think what a permanent repatriation tax break would do for a company like Apple. And BTW, most Latinos don't care about illegal immigration from Mexico. Biggest lie that won't die ever. Libs assume all Latinos think alike like monolithic robots (and we're the ones who are prejudiced, LOL). Do you realize they have to separate native-born Mexicans from the immigrant Mexicans in the SoCal jails, or they'll kill each other? A lot of Mexican-Americans - let alone Cubans, Puerto-Ricans, and other Latinos - don't like illegals. Latinos vote Democrat because they like big government. Anyway, thanks for the green light to rant about politics so Firestorm can't throw a tizzy. Frankly, I'd rather talk about Apple Studio's original content...

Despite the market thrashing our beloved fruit around, I'm quietly encouraged by Apple's exploration of ways to expand the reach of its corporate tentacles. From Titan to IBM & Cisco to original content creation & over-the-top TV to Beats & Music & Watch & iPad Pro/ iOS9. There's a lot going on in Cupertino...
Was just reading on The Loop about the Cisco tie-up and saw this comment from a guy named John:
"Apple in the enterprise is a big thing - there are lots of angles here and the Cisco deal is just one of them. I work in "big IT" with lots of companies so I get to see lots of different organizations. A few things I've noticed.
- Macs are common. The days of "can we allow Mac on our network" are long gone in the tail lights. - Mobile and bring your own device are a reality. - iOS has a far better story in the enterprise than Android. Security, app deployments, management, compatibility, etc. - iOS is pretty much the de facto standard in the US. - Increasingly the big enterprise players are moving tools to iOS/Mac. IBM, Cisco, & Microsoft are obvious examples. SAP is quietly doing it. Oracle seems to still be on the fence. - The new enterprise players (Google, Box, Salesforce) support iOS either first or as first class citizens."
FWIW

The ONLY candidate hardly worth my vote - ok - I'll have to tell you how I honestly feel and how I'm voting as of this moment - and I'm dead serious: Deez Nuts. We're in deep shit trouble. What a motley crew we have to choose from....Anyway, back to Apple.

Since we are talking politics .... and we're getting the crap kicked out of our stock .... (powder keg ) Trump is cracking me up. I LOVE watching him completely screw with Republican party .... Frankly, I think he's laughing his ass off every night and having the time of his life. He's not a Republican or Democrat or anything for that matter ... he's whatever he thinks will work for the moment and has admitted so on many occasions . He is: Pro Choice, For a Single payer healthcare system, In favor of taxing the crap out of wall street and taking away loopholes, opening up the border to qualified people (guest worker) .... Sounds like a pretty good Democrat to me. Of course now that he's playing a Republican he's pro life and goes to church every Sunday As far as being friendly to business ... Not sure I've heard that . He has mentioned putting a Tariff on cars manufactured by FORD and brought back into the US .... now I'm not sure what that means for iPhones, iPads, iMacs ... etc.... BUT he is for lowering corporate tax rates. In any case, I'm a pretty liberal democrat and don't think I could bring myself to vote for Trump just because I think he is a asshole ... simple as that, but when I listen to his ideas , other than trying to kick millions of illegals out of the country , he's not always nuts .... I guess that's the best I can give him. Ok .... hope I don't incite anything but picking on Trump usually makes Republicans and Democrats very happy .... man what a election we have ... it's still well over a year away ... high comedy. Oh yeah ... forgot to add , Shanghai is tanking again ... I'm with Nagrani ... No more Chinese food for me .

Setting up for another good week if we get a bounce tomorrow. In at 107.50 something late today. I think pain is around 112 last I looked. Would like to see $2.50 for a $108. Futures are up right now.

Futures are up right now. I didn't get any AAPL today, but picked up some spy Jan '16 190's for 11.01, that I'll look to sell on some positiveness. I tried to get some $spx.x Jan '17 1900-2100's (european exercise, so no early calling away of the short side) for 92 (around the mid-point of the wide bid/ask spread) but didn't get it in before the market closed. I may try for around the same tomorrow. Looks like I have a few AAPL spreads on the books that are coming up. Oct 115-130's, and some Jan '16's. At the moment they're not looking too hot, but what bullish spread that was bought more than 2 weeks ago is.

I sold the 108s at 2.87 on 40 contracts. I have moved my long position to cash except for the free shares generated over the last 4 years. I will stay out unless my in the money calls fail to get exercised. In that case I will still be better off than if I had done nothing. These severe swings are not something I deal with well so I hope to generate a little cash each week and be out of the calls on Monday. Of course I will miss any big gains but I will sleep better over the weekend.
