Yesterday and this week no way I thought we could reach the 200. Now we are a mere 3 bucks from it. If we are lucky and hit it I think bodes very well for us. Sponge, You are more all over the lot than usual. Yesterday at this time you were assuring me we would be taken down below 115 today...sheesh Not sure why you are so fixated on me. Many have similar opinions regarding call walls and maximum pain including yourself. Here is what I said That 115 call wall this week dictates where we go. A few weeks ago we only had 15k contracts. We now have 40k and have traded over 88k calls so far today. A 116 close tomorrow would be great, but 114 seems most likely. That does not sound like assuring you of my views.

I've seen you do this before...you get wound up and start posting all kinds of price targets and assurances. Then you flip 180 degrees...I'm just suggesting you slow a bit and think it through.
But do what you are gonna do....

It is hard not to get enthusiastic after a day like today. After the months of ignored earnings and inexplicable sideways movement, once again hope springs eternal that reason will be restored. It is almost impossible not to let that sense of relief lead us to expect better times ahead. But think about it, remember the years where the market has moved irrationally against Apple. I am not saying that we will not prosper in the long term, I am just saying that we have been through this so many times before. A run up before earnings that draws in the noise based retail money and the people who want to ride the momentum, followed by an irrational drop after earnings, or even before that to harvest the money from the fools. I believe that the fear of the Jan 16 compare is overpowering. Unless we see extraordinary guidance to offset it, I am prepared for a drop to two digits before the end of the year. Let me emphasize that I am talking out of my ass. No data, no research, not even an informed opinion. I expect to be as accurate as most analysts.

Sponge. I'm always tickled by your posts and love the enthusiasm. I share your view that long term shareholders will be amply rewarded. Having said that, you remind me a bit of my sister. Back in the 90's she stumbled across some prediction that the world was going to end in 2002 based on clues that were...,I don't remember. :-o She had a history of believing all sorts of wacky stuff so a bit exasperated I asked if she would give that all up if the world was still here in 2003. She agreed to that and I haven't heard a strange thing since. So I'm asking. At what point do you throw in the towel and opt out of the theory of the day club? Or...,does that somehow take all the fun out of it? Lord knows I wouldn't want to be responsible for squelching anyone's fun so...,NEVERMIND. Speaking of fun, Fantasy Fest begins today in Key West. It's quirky here.

Side note My son started Computer Engineering degree this fall with a great scholarship. He is coding and his teacher used to work for Apple and NASA.. He will go on and get a masters or phd. Given his grades he is getting offers from the Feds to pay for postgraduate degrees. By then I should be able to pay for it with Apple Stock. When he has finished working on the Apple Car 2 and 3, I may retire since I will be too busy traveling on my private jet. 2030 sounds about right.

Private jets are so last century, by the time 2030 rolls around, Apple will have the "iTravel" teleport device with optional vacation spots complete with an extensive menu selection.
