Well, at least the rate of descent for AAPL is decreasing. So far, most of the stories about the upcoming March event are at best skeptical. I do find it interesting that the new great hope is supposed to be a cheaper iPhone for India. Some might see this as capitulation, but I view as just another on-ramp into the Apple ecosystem. I am not an Apple Watch user, and not likely to be, but I will still be interested to see the next step in its evolution.
Hope everyone has made appropriate preparations for Valentine's Day. Fortunately for me, every day seems like Valentine's Day, as I have been extremely lucky in love.

... I do find it interesting that the new great hope is supposed to be a cheaper iPhone for India... IMHO, if the new 1Phone 5se is meant for emerging markets like India and is priced cheaper than current models, it will be a huge hit and more importantly, it will actually start killing Samsung which is the biggest player there. I don't see much use for the new phone here. Don't think it will make any sort of meaningful impact, financially or otherwise. The only positive I can see is that it might add a little to iPhone sales during the next two slumping quarters.

There is only one way to find out if there is a sizable market for a new model 4" iPnone in the US. The only thing for sure is whether or not it is a high end or an inexpensive iPhone the FUD WILL BE DEAFENING!

I think that the new iPhone should be an high end iPhone 6 mini and that the 5s should stay with a lower price as the low end inexpensive phone

I think Apple is doing to their phones what Car companies do with vehicles. iPhone 5se will be the economy or "Camry" and 6, 6+ will be higher end "Lexus". Similar signature features but the "Lexus" has more bells and whistles and is more expensive. The introduction of the "Camry" helps take away from all The "Honda accords" Samsung is selling. Brilliant strategy for markets like India and for the pre-paid crowd. I just hope Apple prices it where it is cheap enough to capture that market piece but being careful where the higher end market they own doesn't trade down. If we are in a financially challenging environment - it's important for Apple to try to maintain healthy margins and keep its premium pricing in place vs racing to the bottom. Having a new phone but calling it a 5xx helps defend that wall a bit

For the future, they could have 3 sizes : n, n+ and n mini and carry them for 3 years

Certainly possible but I think they are going for market share right now and trying to get as many people into the Apple garden so they can monetize via services. I'm totally guessing here

As usual, I see the 4" phone a little differently. Do you remember a few years ago when laptops were in that silly race to see who could have the biggest screen? People were lugging around huge, heavy computers that were too big to open on a plane. Then someone, maybe it was the Sony Vaio, figured out that the most important thing in a portable computer was portability.
I have a 5c and a 5s and I actually like the feel of the 5c better. Both are 4" but the 5c is thinner. I also have a 5 gen iPod that is thinner yet that I use as a phone over wifi. It is just my experience and my preference, but for me, smaller is better. Different strokes I guess

Click bait headline. The article wasn't about rich people but rather highest GDP nations.

The 5s is 7.6mm thick and the 5c is 8.97mm thick. 5s tech specs - www.apple.com/lae/iphone-5s/specs/5c tech specs - support.apple.com/kb/SP684?locale=en_US

Oh, sorry. I have a case on the 5s that makes it thicker. I didn't notice it
