Good luck to all the longs today. Let's hope that this starts a long build back to where we all know that Apple should be. I am going in for a triple bypass in a few hours and just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone here for all I have learned and enjoyed over the past 4 years. It is a pretty routine operation and I fully expect to be back, but just in case, thank you all

I have to pimp my own posts now, Since84? Harsh. Luckily that's no big problem for me! iPhone SE 2-part mini-series, which I completed over the weekend: Part 1 - pondering the continued SE shortages and sketching out a (revised from the WordPress post) 12-month "demand curve" apple.news/A2HFztvgNQBm6emxSCJKvtAPart 2 - figuring out "just how bad" an impact iPhone SE might have on iPhone ASP and Apple gross margin (spoiler: yeah, not nearly as "bad" as some make it out to be) apple.news/AMpu20KGnQuyoSjHjyL1gkg

You'll get the Since84 bump shortly.

Best of luck bud, look forward to hearing from you when you are out.
On the the linked in deal, WTF? All cash deal, does Microsoft really have nothing better to do with $26B? I'm no business genius, but I fail to see how that deal ever pays for itself.

Although Facebook is far savvier than Microsoft is so it could easily be a huge mistake. Best wishes to you Bud

MAV: this old GrandPa has great difficulty reading your prose off of my iPod Touch. I prefer my MacBook Pro. I find the charts very hard to read off the iPod touch. Please let us know if and when you post on wordpress.

I am color insensitive and most charts use color coding making it impossible for me to decipher which lines represent which data, especially when there are a lot of lines. Since somewhere in the neighborhood of 70% of men are red/green color insensitive I have a feeling I am not alone.

Not impressed.
The good - opening up of APIs which will let developers create some cool stuff. I think WatchOS is a stellar upgrade, and with the speed improvement Apple Watch apps may actually be usable for the first time.
I know it's a developer conference but zero hardware? There is a lot of stuff that needs updating and a lot of kids eager to head to university with a new MBP. If they wait until September, opportunity lost.
Apple Music doesn't look like much of an improvement, but I guess I'll need to see for myself.
There are some interesting things in iMessage but boy is it ever complicated now. Is Apple really struggling so much that they have to spend so much time talking about emojis? Ugh. Secret messages? This is just getting silly and feels like we're scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of good ideas.
With no new hardware Mac and Apple Watch sales will decline. iPhone 7 doesn't seem to be a gamechanger. I expect more tough times ahead.

Agreed. Most boring WWDC in a while.
IMO most important announcement was Apple Pay on the web, which I've been waiting for since Apple Pay was first announced... We'll see how fast it's adopted...

Disagree on the WWDC wasn't impressive theme here.
This is like the NFL draft - sometimes things need to play out a season or two to see if the players drafted were the right ones.
Watch OS upgrades should really bolster the case for why you need an Apple Watch
TV - ok, some more options are good - while I think we all wanted Apple to launch a TV streaming service, margins are thin there, so maybe work with Dish on that instead.
Mac - again, nice features promoted as part of Sierra - Do agree that the new MBP pro should be ready now prior to school restarting this fall.
