What a wonderful week, and it could not have come at a better time. Perhaps this will break the malaise of the past six months, setting things up for some excitement when the iPhone 7 (and perhaps some other surprises?) gets announced in September.
However, I could not help thinking that Wednesday's gain of $6.36 would have garnered even more excitement as a pop of $44.52 pre-split. Now, my college major was Applied Mathematics, so I do understand that the percentage gain is exactly the same, but there is just something about bigger numbers that adds a bit of brio.
The purported leaks have already begun to accelerate, so I am sure that we'll have lots to discuss during the next six weeks.

Apple volatility is down to 18.78. There have only been two days in the past 6 years when it has been this low. If I understand options pricing, low volatility means that options are cheaper. I only sell options, but if you buy them, this seems like a great opportunity. If I have this backwards, someone please explain.
