The fact that the iPhone 7 pretty much look the same as the iPhone 6s and yet they're still A major delay manufacturing the 7+, Plus now we hear that the AirPods are going to be delayed, makes me suspect that you're having some component issues with a very limited number of suppliers . Growing pains. I also think the reason the stock went down instead of going up despite every turn to growth is that Wall Street doesn't suspect this return will continue into second and third quarter . my estimate in iPhone sales for 4th and 1st quarter were very conservative and yet Apple is guiding less than I was expecting. I do think there's a real chance we may still have flat or negative growth second and third quarter. Apple has a very small limited window to really move lots of new iPhones. Given the high cost most consumers are not going to upgrade to the latest phone knowing that in the few short months a new one is coming coming out. Apple try to manufacture more than they needed to last year and there were caught offguard when consumers did not upgrade to the 6S The bottom line is that iPhones are amazing products and now at a point where one can use it for over three years without feeling like you're missing much. Compare iPhones to a full function MacBook Pro of 2014. What upgrades should it take to replace them?

Sad about the delayed headphones. Had saved my pennies and was going to treat myself to something Apple for the first time since the Watch. The W1 integration with proximity sensors, accelerometer, beam forming mics, battery, Bluetooth - no surprise there is a delay. Beats with W1 shipping now, just easier to get all that tech working inside a larger device.
Agree about longer replacement cycles, don't see a need to replace the iPhone 6, either laptop (MBAir 11" travel axe and MBPro 15" desktop), or original iPad Mini. Watch the enterprise space too. Apple Education has just been stagnant, right? Need some good success stories from the .edu side again. Concerned about the "magic function strip" and universal access. Easier to feel buttons if there are actually buttons. Eventually the entire keyboard will just be an OLED screen with Taptic feedback.

Eventually, I hope my windows would be a computer, can see through or opaque when I want it to display content, activated by gestures or siri.

More AFB people should buy Rez's wife's books so he can buy more Apple gear. I just bought one for a friend's wife who's a 2-time cancer survivor.

And apologies if my musings clog the intraday thread. I try to keep it down. My in-&-out trading cash is low (for now) but my passion for AAPL is still right up there. Great things ahead. See y'all at 10am for the event.

Airpods delayed...absolutely ridiculous if you ask me. This company needs to get their shit together and launch products when they make sense. Just seems like there is zero urgency. Like Samsung does, you mean? How'd that fast-follower, rush-to-market model work out for them? True. Screw deadlines. Just release the next iPhone "when it's ready", maybe 2 years from now. Stay on the 600-1000+ day Mac cycle. Investors will love it. If the Airpods weren't going to be ready, Apple should have deferred removal of the headphone jack to next year. The iPhone 7 would have been just fine with the A10 and the camera improvements. It just makes too much sensethat they should launch together.
