Well, this was certainly a week worth waiting for. iPhone X pre-orders are being scalped on eBay for $1,500, on average puts to rest the "NOBODY will pay $1000 for a smartphone!" argument. The only issue for a very strong pre-holiday quarter appears to be meeting demand, or at least coming close. I also anticipate that this effect will be even greater among the status conscious well-heeled folks in China next quarter. However, the cynicism of Best Buy is a bit off-putting, as described in Why did Best Buy add $100 to the price of the iPhone X?. It is also a bit worrying that Apple patents a unique way to coat iPhones in 18-karat gold. I have no problem with high prices for excellent function and quality, but I am less enthusiastic about pandering to those who merely desire to advertise their wealth. We'll see what or if Apple does anything with this process. Kudos to those who drove the recent discussions about various trading strategies, but it certainly made me grateful that Apple has made my lazy buy-and-hold strategy so profitable. My head was spinning after reading them.

I wouldn’t sell unless we see a broad market decline. As we all know, the first positions to sell off are the ones that have seen the biggest run up. And tech looks mighty ripe for picking.
Hopefully tax reform goes through. Because I do think we could see a sizable sell off if it doesn’t. But for now, I’m enjoying my ever growing portfolio.

We cont to repeat. Just like in Nov and June we stayed down for at least 5 weeks before some positive noise seems to wake us up.
I think yesterday’s move was part IPhone X news and then part reaction to goog and amzn positive moves.
I expect good numbers from Apple for Q4 and solid guidance for Q1. Despite that don’t see us moving up more then 5% initially. We are not treated like those two WS darlings.
Given the increase in OI for June 200 calls, I think we will get there well before June.
The next 6 months those with shares and calls will be well rewarded.
